I can't believe that I came across your site today for the first time! I KNOW it is God's providence...and not just a coincidence. I recently signed up for Beliefnet to my email and was deleting "junk" mail when my eyes kept going to the Beliefnet Angel Wisdom where I found you!
I received many Angel wisdoms in my inbox but this one....my eyes kept falling on it. I had not opened it yet as there were other emails to get to and I found the title...."Miracle in a Mexican Restaurant" kind of odd not spiritual...
But...something in my spirit told me to open and click on it. Am I glad I did!
I was so moved and incredulous after watching your video story! God sent His Angel to minister to you! I got teary eyed because it was just what I NEEDED TO HEAR regarding the Bible verse....TO OBEY IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE....
Wow, how powerful...and obey you did...in turn...you were so blessed! It was the start of your ministry....that now you are an angel to so many others....just like me!

He loves you..no matter what you do..He lift you up that day and healed you in a second of a blink of an eye..He is Risen indeed!!! He wants us all as Christian to send the word everyday that HE lives in us today..and He died on that cross..and forgives the people..He loves us unconditionally..And He will return to Earth..He wants us to do good..trust in Him in the glory of Lord...When you pray to Him..he is in your heart..HE is a GREAT LISTENER..and He will give the right answers...even though you can't hear Him..but its amazing in His mysterious ways will give you great signs!!! Like the lady came to you for a good reason!!! Girl..you are surrounded with presnece of Him and angels..when I pray to Him at bed time..eating time..or even going to work..I feel Him and it gives me goosebumps in a good way..that means He is there and the Angels r watching me..So don't give up faith..He loves you and me!!!

Martha, thank you for sharing your amazing and most touching story. March 2005 I discovered the book of Angels and from that day to this day, I prey and speak to the Angels, and in my heart they are there especially when in need.

Having read widely in this site, I would like to share my story.
I'm a Catholic priest in rural Maine. One blustery, cold, February day in 1999, I had just made my grandmother's Lamb Stew, when a knock came to my front door. In rural Maine people always come to the back door, so I knew it was not a member of our parish.
When I opened, there was a young man, early to mid thirties, with a back pack. He asked me if I knew of anyone going to Boothbay Harbor, a coastal fishing community which swells with tourists in the summer but is rather empty in winter, except for fisherman and "locals.". I told him I didn't know of anyone. He replied that he had been hitch-hiking from Halifax, Nova Scotia and had to get to Boothbay. Well, it was cold, damp and drizzily, so I invited him in and asked if he'd like some hot stew.
Over lunch he told his story. He was born a Catholic,but dropped out in his teen years. He served in the Canadian Army in Germany and wase mustered out in Germany. Instead of going 'home', he spent months hitching around Europe. While doing this, he said, Faith began to rivive. He returned to Canada and worked for some nuns on an Indian reserve in Western Canada. While doing this he got the call to street preach around Canada. It was while doing this, he got the call to Boothbay.
As we talked and shared faith, a joy began to rise in me. So, I told him I'd drive him to Bothvay Harbor. I had nothing to do that couldn't be done tommorrow. We kept on sharing faith and scripture and I began to feel a wondreful joy.
When we got to the town. He told me he needed a job and a place to stay. I dropped him off at the town hall, which has a job center and gave him the name of a devote
Catholic family who had a small construction business and said he might find a job and maybe even a place to sleep. I also gave him $50.00, just in case..... he accepted it with a wry but knowing smile.
All the way home, my heart was racing and I was overwhelmed with great joy. I thought of Luke's Gospel and the story of the disciples encounter withthe Risen Lord on the road to Emmaus. "Were not out hearts burning with in us, they said, as he spoke to us on the way." I know my heart was burning with joy.
It was an hour's drive back to my rectory, plenty of time to think and reflect of the strange event of the day. Then I thought of something Paul wrote, encouraging his hearers to be hospitable to strangers for "in this way, many have entertained Angels." When I got home I called the family in Boothday to tell them what had happened. The father was delighted because he needed some extra help on a job he was doing.
That evening I got a call. My friend had driven to the job agency...but no onw had been in all that day. He checked out the dinner, coffeeshop and other places people meet. No one had seen anyone answering this young man's discription. He kept checking for weeks, when ever he got the chance, but it was like I hadn't driven anyone to Boothbay Harbor that day.
All I know was that my heart burned within me as we shared faith. I know my encounter with him brought me great joy and a strengthening of faith in the Lord Jesus.
I believe Paul was right. Weather he was an angel, the Lord or just a faith-full Christian, I don't know, but I do know that he was a blessed encounter, which gives joy to share.

I believe we are all potential angels. When a needy person attracts out attention (when we are ready to notice him or her), and we are moved to reach out and offer to help - anonymously or not - we are beatified at that moment, by our gift just as much as by receiving a gift.

We are an angel to the needy person - whether the need is in our eyes or “ real”, and in the act of giving, we are raised up to be more God-like and closer to our ideal selves – angelic.

In the Jewish tradition , among many saintly capacities attributed to the Prophet Elijah, is that of appearing as a beggar to a person who is in need of having his or her soul purified (In some versions of this story, the giver is close to death – either by illness or an accident which is about to happen); By giving alms or performing a good deed (material or in action), the person in great spiritual need, is given the chance to save his/her soul by giving and showing compassion before it is forever too late.

I pray for all of us that we are able to be angelic givers and receivers at the times in our lives when we sorely need to be raised up. Have you ever heard the saying that one of the most important “fees” in life is to pay – Attention? I believe it. It is by holy awareness that we see the angels around us and/or become privileged to see and use opportunities to become angels to our fellows.

When we are touched to see what is behind the eyes of another - the pain or the loving kindness - we become God’s messengers, and come ever closer to leading a holy happy life.

I am saying a prayer now that by remembering these stories and the insight they gave me, my eyes can remain open to the outstretched hands around me, to give and to receive. I need both so much Please help me not to miss these chances. Please help my eyes and heart to be open to see them, to reach out without passing them by, blindly looking only at my own needs.

Who knows when we may be offered a priceless opportunity to touch and be touched by another, at a moment when our souls or theirs are in the balance – perhaps even both at the same time?

Hi Martha! I was really touched by your story of the miracle at the mexican restaurant. I, too, have experienced so many times when God is sending me angels to help me. I have always been calling on God everytime I am in a difficult situation and yes, He always sends an angel to help me out, all the time! One instance was when I first went to Hong Kong on a business trip, my first time ever to leave my country, the Philippines. I was so nervous when the plane touched down at Hong Kong airport. All of the passengers just left so quickly that I did not get the chance to see where I should be going. In seconds, I was all alone there at the baggage claim area. I walked and walked and tried to find the exit where I should meet the travel agent who is supposed to meet me there and bring me to my hotel. I saw no one so I kind of panicked already and told God, "Lord, you know that I am new to this place and I do not know the way to my hotel, or where to get a ride. I am now starting to feel nervous....please help me". Then in just a minute, an airport police came to where I was and to my big surprise, talked to me in my native Cebuano language (a dialect spoken in Cebu, Philippines where I came from) saying: the travel agent is waiting for you at exit 5, come let us go and meet him. And so we went, and there was the travel agent and then I turned around to thank the airport police but no one was there, no other person is there. I looked around the area but no one is there. So I said a BIG thank you prayer to God, thanking Him for that angel, disguised as airport police.

Thanks for your Angel message. I used to watch all the Touched by an Angel segments on T.V., loved them. I now have a dear son going through bad times , as his wife has been having an affair with her boss, he has a 2 yr. old son, and she is pregnant, and it probably isn't his. He is devastated. I pray God to watch over all of them, and keep the Angels around them all, to get through this, whatever way it turns out. This young man has been there for her all the way, but she is lost, and the boss has a wife and three daughters between the ages of 5 to 9. I just have to turn it over to God and trust him. I am a Christian, and know it will work out the way it's meant to. Thank you again.

As soon as I read Sophia's story the Lord immediately gave me these scriptures in hopes that they will give you the comfort and peace you need concering Ramsey. I know whithout a doubt thast I have been touched by angels at various times of my life.
the last time was just about a month ago and I want to share my story.

There was a small house on a road not far from where I am living- everytime I drove past this house I thought how wonderful it would be to live there. My friend lived right next door and she told me one day that the house had gone into foreclosure. This was back in June. The house was scheduled for Auction- but I was sent to a job on the island of Aruba, so I just assumed that someone had purchased the house. I was gone for 3 months, then I came back and then I was sent again. I was living in a nice apartment- but the rent was high and I knew I needed a place of my own. It was now March of this year and I went to my friends house- I noticed that he house still looked empty and I asked my friend what was going on- this was on March 5th. I went home and prayed to God to help me find out more information on the house. Well the next morning, I went into work and I went online and found out who the trustee was for the home- the information on the house had no price, but there was a date of March 6th saying that his was the scheduled auction.
I called the couthouse- I spoke with a nice lady- she told me that he home was scheduled to be auctioned that day, but that the sale had been postponed until March 16th. I thanked God and tried to find out everything I could in order to go to this auction- but I had no money. over the course of the next 2 weeks I did everything possible to put the money together- and I was owed the money- however the check had not arrived on the day of the sale. Everyone told me that it would be a waste of time- they would want cash - but I was determined to go. I knew in my heart that this was my house and that God would provide and that something would happen- who knows anything can? So the next morning, I got up , drove to the courthouse and I was the only person there to bid on the house - I offered $1 over the bid price, the trustee said sold- then she asked if I had the 5% cash deposit required- I said no- but that I could have it within a day or sa- that is when a perfect stranger walked up and said, "I will give it to her" he opened his wallet and handed me $1960 cash money. I knew right then that this was an angel and that this was truly my home. Going on further, I applied for the financing- found out that I needed another 5% in order to close- the same day, I received an email from someone who was owing me $1995- telling me that I would soon be receiving this money. I still have not closed and now I am working hard to put together my closing costs. soon I will have my own home and I know without any doubt that it was all because of an angel.

The story of the prodigal son comes to the forefront of my mind. Your son may be lost, but with Christ he is found. Keep praying for him. Your prayers are powerful and the Lord hears everyone of them. Lord, I pray you send laborers into Ramseys path and that he receives their message with an open heart. We know that when the eyes of his heart have been opened, he will live the life that you, Lord Father, have already planned for him. Lord, we bind up the enemy and all his plans for destruction on this lost sheep and we sew into his life a new mindset, a new zeal for life, with grace and peace and joy abounding and with the forgiveness provided to us by your son Jesus Christ. We pray a hedge of protection over this young man that you keep him under your wings and in your shadow. And we know that your victory is coming to pass in his life and we thank you for all these victories and requests. We thank you that we have what we have asked for in the name of Jesus Christ. AMEN. Keep praying and don't give up. Christ came to save the lost. Christ didn't give up on us, so don't give up on him.

I do not have a comment per say, but rather a plea. I have son who is now 20 years old. He always been a good boy, until he started high school.He had changed he refused to finish school he got to the 11 grade , the only thing that seems to interest him is music.Which i am not too thrill about.He needs to get hid GED and go to college or a trade school to learn something that will bring him money , then he could do his music.Well , things are not better.We were living in New york and we moved because i felt that any day some one will come knocking on my door to tell me that something bad happend to my son,Ramsey.So we moved to Georgia last February.I put him in a GED program,took him to get his driver's licence,ask his father to let him use one of the cars. Things started to look, and feel good for awhile.Then in December 2007 we got a call in the middle of the night, it was the police.Coming from work Ramsey got into a check point and because he had smoked weed they arrested him.I was so , so so disapointed, and ashamed.I had prayed so much and for so long and this happened. I thought he would have learned his lesson and changed his life around, but again in January 2008 right after new year he got arrested again on the sames charges in another county 2 hours away from where we lived.What do i do now? i got upset and stop praying but he is my only son how can i turne my back on him?I started praying again, but my heart is hurting so much,i told him that he is my biggest disapointment.I am angry i am so sad and hurt.I believe in God and His angels, i feel that something is in the work but i do not understand it. I am waiting. Please pray for my son, he needs his path to be lighted, he seems to be overwhelmed, he needs God to touch his heart, and his mind .

WOW!! THAT TOTALLY CHILLED ME THROUGH AND THROUGH. WHAT A WONDERFUL STORY. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!

During rush hour, my car started making noises, so in a miracle break in traffic, I tried to make a U-turn and head home, but my front wheels got stuck in a ditch, and I was blocking both sides of the busy road. My car wouldn't start. (I found out later the engine had gone out) I didn't know what to do because I was in desperate danger, because of the turn which wouldn't reveal my car to traffic coming from either direction, until they were too close to stop befoe hitting me. Suddenly a nice looking young man wirh curly black hair came walking down the road. He wore a striped green and white T-shirt, very clean if not brand new jeans, and the whitest tennis shoes I ever saw. He walked right up to me "You could use some help," he said. "You turn around to watch and stear and my friends and I wil push you into that service station parking lot." So I did, my car suddenly started moving very fast indeed, and I was parked in the service station lot, safe and traffic kept whizzing by. i leaped out of my car to thank him, and there was no one there. The service station had no customers, and the car belonged to the owner. The businesses across the street had no customers, and homes were hundreds of feet away. No one could have walked to one of the homes, or out of the businesses. I looked every direction, then walked into the service station. "Did you see who helped me?" I asked. The owner said, "I thought your car started and you backed into the lot. I didn't see anyone else."

The brightly clean, kind, person had to be an angel. I loved reading Marth's encounter with the "homeless woman." Angels take all kinds of forms, which keeps them from having to say what they said to nearly everyone they spoke to in the Bible, "Fear not." God is so completely and so excellently GOOD!!!!!!!

I have to tell you that today has felt like the worst day of my life, everything is falling apart! I havent been to church in years, I pray for things and I believe in Gods but he has not been a real part of my life lately. So today I'm sitting here feeling so horrible and crying and something told me to get down on my knees and pray. I did, I prayed for God to put out his hand and bring me to him because I cant seem to find my way back to him. So I get done and I come sit down just to check my emails and i have one from Martha. I know nothing about your website or about you and normally I would have just deleted it and went on. when I listened to your story about the angel I just started crying again but a different kind of crying, you opened my eyes to the fact that he is here with me wether I know it or not. And to Rosa, Thank You So Much! When I read what you wrote I swear you wrote that to me! While things are still realy bad for me at the moment I dont feel hopeless and alone! I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart, you dont know what you did for me today!

Good morning, evening or afternoon,how are you?This is the day, the Lord have made and we should be glad in it!To GOD BE THE GLORY!! I am BLESSED to have came upon you this morning. I have A STREETMINISTRY and I would'nt have it any other way. Sometimes I feel that I am all along,even thou I know that the LORD said HE would never leave us or forsake us, I feel helpless. Now, what hope I have recieved this morning. I don't feel my best most days, however, when I do for someone else, I know that GOD will take care of me! I find myself helpless when I can't go out on the street corners and share the word of God, food and clothings, NOw, I feel as though no cares about me, AM I MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS KEEPER? YES!, I AM. How is it I feel helpless unless I am helping someone else? Well, please pray for me, I mean Heaven all the way! Your trip and act of kindness is evidence, that no good deed goes unturned. I pray for all the readers and I need your prayers. I rember one winter, on the streets, I celebrated my (51th) fifty first birthday with my street family, the news team was present at 6:30 a.m. and about (20) guests and some I had met in line days before to join in and give back to others who others had forgot. I was able to bring gifts for the women of the streets, and show them that I REALLY CARED!I do believe that every one on the street, that's lost ,dirty or even can't find their way, still deserves a birthday party, every now and then. I had the desire to give back and place love where it thought it would never be found again, We had two cakes ,cup cakes, chicken, mac/cheese, rice,turkey and all-all the trimmings, and so musch more! We met JESUS AND HE MET US! THE PURPOSE IS TO GIVE BACK AND KNOW THAT GOD WILL GIVE BACK TO US! I felt bad when I got up this morning, now, TO GOD BE THE GLORY! I have forgot about me again and my eyes is on the PRIZE, THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST! Thanks for your time, I NEED YOUR PRAYERS, MAY GOD KEEP ALL ,UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.

Thankyou for sharing your story with me this morning. I don't always click on this site but this morning I did. I believe that we do sometimes entertain angels unaware. It is an amazing thing that the Lord does. I believe that there are two types of angels. The first of course is one of His heavenly inhabitants like he sent to Daniel in the lions den or the angel that visited Mary or the one that led the Apostles out of prison. Then of course when the Lord moves on our hearts to reach out and touch the life of another we become His angels.

We would be very surprised how many angels , specialized in all kind of fields, ready to obey God's commends, to assist man kind .
I had a miracle recovery, several years back.
One night, I was laying down , sick at ORLANDO GENERAL HOSPITAL. It was midnight. Just like that, a Priest entered my room. He asked me if I wanted communion. I answered: Yes. He gave me communion and went back out.
The next morning, the Doctor checked me and sent me back home. No one could come to my rescue. I spent the whole day at the Lobby trying to find a ride home.
The night shift came. A young lady, at the desk took my
papers. Ordered to pay a taxi to take me home.
I was healed of the sickness i went fo. Next my transportation was paid for. I had no one. I believe an angel came and took me pout of th ehospital bed; I had no money to leave the hospital. An angel came paid for my taxi and I was home.
I praised God for these miracles in my life!

So, I believe, angels are all around us, discretely , are helping us in our personal needs!

I have many friends as well as I who really miss your "Touched By An Angel". You must know how meaningful and extremely valuable each one of those shows were and still are in repeats. This world is so very hungry for such as your ministry. I just missed you at a church in Atlanta. I look forward to oneday meeting you and maybe a followup version of the "Angels". I watched this video of yours a couple of times as the message was so moving and powerful! I thank you for sharing your wisdom and stories of being touched by God's presence. I have been catching up on your blogs and videos and I love them all. You are sharing faith and hope with us all by giving us these antidotes of being able to withstand and appreciate what we go through in day to day life. I am a huge fan of Touched by an Angel(who isn't?) and happy that Hallmark channel continues to air this special show. I watched the one yesterday with Taylor the angel and cried my eyes out and remembered this particular episode from when I was younger. I don't cry at shows at all but there is something about Touched By an Angel that is stamped with God's love all over it! When you open up this envelope you are engulfed with the connection of God.
I am not sure if you will ever do another show again but there was a book I read as a child that I absolutely loved and you would be the perfect person to do it..the book series was called Forever Angels about a group of friends who go through the trials and tribulations of life but also can talk to angels that they have met in a forest..really good books and messages!

What can I say, "How great is our God.", for the Bible declares in Hebrew 13:2 "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.", And that was what you experienced! That exact scripture, Angels are acclaimed to be bright in white, and shiny, and such. But God sends specific angels to perform his work, and he sends it in the way of "getting his marvelous works completed", and that he did. I am estatic to hear that your ministry is prospering, and thank God, for sending an angel right to you!

Obedience, is emphatically greater than sacrafice. For the fact that you can sacrafice, but if you are not obedient as to what to do, your sacrafice is in vain. For example if my ministry leader assigned a task to everyone in the ministry. And my specific task was to create a list of names of people who could work a conference, and someone else had to take the list and get their points of contact, and someone else had to design a program for the conference. And as a dedicated leader, I went go and complete all the tasks,and type all the material, and stay at the church all night long, day in and day out,and leave no assignments for other ministry members, my sacrafice was in vein for i disobeyed leadership, which requested of me to simply make a list of names. That is not to denounce the meaning of excellence and "going the extra mile", but God values obedience over sacrafice. And when obedience is put before sacrafice, your sacrafice then becomes pleasing to the sight of God, and his kingdom is being advanced.

With that said, Martha emphatically embraced obedience, and because of it, God has blessed his ministry through her! Be encouraged, for their is greatness in all. And remember the decisions, you make are life-changing and long-lasting. Because Martha decided to follow and be obedient to the voice of God ... her life has changed and the results are long-lasting.

Touch by a Angel was my #1, when it went off the air, it sadeen me..The Video "Miracle in a Mexican Restaurant" was powerful..that told me that God puts a test out there and it is up to us to pass and you did..I am going to keep my Spiritual eyes open so I do not pass my test up.

Do you think the homeless lady was an angel? I do. Years ago I was rushing to catch a bus after work and I passed who looked to be a homeless lady. Her eyes were blank and she seemed almost lifeless. I offered my bus money to her and there was no response. I offered it to her again and she raised her head to look at me - her eyes cleared and she had beautiful blue eyes. Her back straightened and she softened. She said, "No thank you I don't need it." What I remember most was that with this lady too, her appearance just changed in front of me. I ran for my bus but have always wondered if this was an angel waiting for someone. Thanks for the story.

My own grandmother was an angel to me. She was sick and it wasn't long before she died. I visited her thinking it would do her good but she helped me, as always.
They say,"When the student is ready, the teacher appears..." But I say, "When it is needed, an angel appears and carries the Lord's message".
