The Team That Lost and Won

Personally, I think it was a beutiful story. I saw it msny times on ESPN's Sport Center. Before the ESPY's, I voted for the beutiful guesture to be the most inspirational story this year. Even thought one team won and the other team lost, I believe that everyone won. It reminds me thst there are good people in the world. I believe that there are more good people than bed. The problem is, that most good people alliow evil to continue. There is a saying that evil continues when good people do nothing. I will think of it and I will pray for what good I can do in this world so I won't have to say what I could have done.

Team work is the gratest than the indvidual efforts . through team work one can get more outcomes than indvidual. team work is a passage to encourge all weak and power full at the same time.through team work one put ones contribution in that work which might be not done indvidually. So team work should be promoted in every walk of life so that every body can present ones abilities before others.

i love to be inspired all the time and i have read some of the inspirational words and i have really loved it. thanks

T.care and God Bless You All xxxx

I watched the video of this this past week during the womens college world championship games. They showed the video on tv & on the large screen monitors at the stadium, then brought the three girls onto the field to throw out the ceremonial 1st ball (actually each girl threw a softball to a catcher). I thought then this was a wonderful story and it still is. I love watching your video's and I watch re-run's of TBAA as often as I can. I love the show and your video's. I've watched the WCWCST for the last several years and the sportsmanship these women show is truly remarkable. They really show what team sports should be about.

thanks martha for another great story.what a great show of showmanship between these 2 teams.god bless them, and god bless their parents for doing a great job of raising them to be fair and honest.i am a proud mother of 4 grown sons who also played sports well, and honest, and fair.my 2 youngest sons coached sports and referee.thanks again martha for sharing.god bless you.

Lovely story. I would just call it plain ole' "love". I think at the soul of humanity, all that exists is LOVE. On earth, we push it back and cover it up because our ego needs seem more important but one day we all return to what we really are.

I just want to say that have enjoyed watching Touch By An Angel .I have learned to have faith in god and all he can do for us every day of our lives I am encouraged with your messenges of every day life we all have anfels in our lives in different forms wheather it be afriend with a kind word or a team mate helping us run the bases to win a champship. God is there helping us all the way I wish we had more TV.show s like the ones you have written

I just wanted you to know how wonderful your encoragement is!!! not only does it have christian morals and vulues, but it proves to me that there are still some good kind people left in this world. At this time I feel I need so much encouragement, I was diagnosed with APS a blood clotting disorder in 11/06 little is known about this disorder, I had a stroke ( to the APS)and was also let go from job, so 2 blows at about the same time. thank goodness I have GOD in my life to help me through the rough times.
I watch your videos and listen, then I think about them. I lovd touched by an Angel. You are truly an inspiration to me to keep thimking positive

I remember hearing about this somewhere - I remember tearing up with the emotion of it - what an amazing show of sportsmanship and thinking of the other person - I'll bet nobody felt better than the 3 girls who walked the bases (2 for bringing joy and 1 for receiving aid and seeing charity in action) - If Touched By An Angel was still on it would have made a great episode

This is a wonderful story, showing that NOT ALL of our young people have been left to raise themselves, without moral quidance from adults. What a fine example of caring, love and a strong committment by the opposing team to the spirit of "proper sportsmanship and the Golden Rule."

All those girls are wonderful role models for others and can continue to act in the most caring way, the rest of their lives.
I am the mother of a grown son and believe I raised them that way. Hopefully, all young parents, kids and others will hear this and take it to heart.

When I saw this story in the news it brought me to tears, what a wonderful legacy those girls left. My daughter graduated high school 2 weeks ago and I am so proud of her. She played varsity volleyball and soccer all 4 years in high school, as well as club teams since she was 8. During her junior year she was voted captain of her volleyball team - as much as she loved the game, she loved her team and representing her school. One day I got a call from her coach, he asked me if my daughter had told me about the letter the school had received about her. I said no, is there something wrong? He proceeded to tell me, she had been nominated for a state sportsmanship award because there had been so many letters written to the state high school sports association from referees and other school coaches about my daughter's positive attitude and sportsmanship. There was one letter from a referee that explained a situation where a call was made that was being challenged by the other team's coach, my daughter being the captain, went to the head referee and told him it was a wrong call and the point should go to the other team. There was also one specific letter from an Athletic Director and Coach of another school that told how my daughter had gone to the other team before the game and wished them luck and shook there hands. I was not aware of any of these specific instances, although her father and I had always encouraged her attitude toward sports and her responsibility as a leader, it was just a wonderful thing to know that other people had recognized her contribution. So, even though she may not have carried her opponent off the field and may not be in the history books, she definitely made a lasting impression on the students and adults that have come in contact with her - what more could a parent ask for except the continued protection and blessings from God on her life.
