A Touch of Encouragement

Oh - I've just watched your video for the SECOND time, and whenever you use the phrase "sacred honor," I get goosebumps. What happened to the Judeo-Christian background of our Founding Fathers? Seems to me it got lost somewhere between the White House and the Capitol Building. We Americans have lost sight of what made our country great in the past, and only want, now, the "pursuit of happiness" to excess. Perhaps the hard times we're going through are pay-back for that pursuit. Your "Five Rules for Hapiness" absolutey NEED to be examined and lived by. I just hope it's not too late to get our beloved "City on a Hill" back, and become more like we were meant to be, some 240 years ago. I had a quiet Fourth, living alone as a widow without children; but I enjoyed the community fireworks that I could see from my patio. Hope you had the Fourth that you wished for. Thank you for a wonderful message; just hope it reached it's audience!

I always find good stuff here on your page. I just finished watching your video of Back stage Fear Not; was terrific. SO much so that I cried and cried. My Mom recently died at age 91 of Alzheimer. I loved that particular program when I was watching it at home years ago. I wish I could get them all and view them when I need a boost. I have been going through a lot of financial difficulties so I do not want to be buying much at this time. Yet I wish I could have these. I have a brother with cancer whose life is considered to be short term ( repoprtedly diagnosed with one of the worst, fast moving cancers) and an aunt who has Alzheimer and looking to be the next of Mom's family to go. She has a few other siblings in various other stages of aging and difficulties. Mom was one of 12 and there only 6 left of them now with her passing. My brother John, the eldest of us kids, is still going despite having had a triple bypass heart surgery over ten years ago. But he's showing signs of not being his best at times (has a great deal of pain in various areas of the body from past injuries. While he takes good care of himself there is no guarentee of how long any of us will live. I have always wanted to be an author. I'm trying to find a way to make it happen. Thank you for those years of wonderful programs on TV. I don't have a TV any more. I had problems with the one I had not working quite right and since I no longer have the kind of income I need for it I found that I am happier without the TV. Most of the programs feed you fear and I for one do not need that particular emotion in any great amounts. I do have this computer and that is a good thing. I can get what I want and avoid all the fear I please. So thank you again for all the good you did with Touched by An Angel. Ps. One of your programs showed one of the angels hitting a bad guy. I tried to get a letter to you some time after that particular show to let you know that I saw my own angel give a guy attempting to rape me an upper cut to jaw; he rocked a bit back on his heels from it and stopped what he had been attempting to do. All because I prayed to Jesus "help me". Some times angels are allowed some rough stuff just to get through to such characters. I'm still looking for your childhood book about buttons and zippers growing on the roof of the house. I don't know if you respond to these posts, but if you have any more information that you remember about the book let me know because it will help in the search.

Hello Mrs. Martha I've been missing in action cause someone I loved and grew up with has been plucked out of this big field of flowers down here you may know him ( Michael Jackson ) I don't care what anyone may think or say about M J and his past, that is between he and God. People just ought to get it love is no one with God and forgiving others plays a very important part in loving. I just don't understand how we can want love and understanding yet not want to give it to others. I like this video because it ties into how sad I'm feeling about everyone saying what caused Michael's death and the test that will show results are not due back for weeks it's bizarre if you ask me . I don't believe there is a person on the face of this earth that would want this kind of unhappiness after they got called away from this world full of turmoil. I truly hurt for the entire Jackson family and even more so M J children who have their whole life and they don't need all this garbage in their life.I feel Michael Jackson only wanted to be happy on this side and I don't see why people want let him after all didn't he teach people of wealth to always practice giving. keep up the good work Mr. & Mrs. Martha and Be Blessed everyone....... I LIKE HAPPINESS,WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY IS SIMPLE.QUIET TIME TO MYSELF DOING PUZZLE BOOKS,DONATING TO MY FAVORITE CHARITIES LISTENING TO MUSIC.I CAN GO ON AN ON BUT IT MAKES FEEL GOOD TO SEE OTHER PEOPLE FINDING HAPPINESS.FOR YEARS NOW I'VE STRUGGLING TO HOLD ON TO WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY,BUT I TRY NOT TO LET IT GET ME DOWN.I JUST KEEP MOVING FOWARD WITH A POSITIVE ATTITUDE.

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness: a grand goal and one that I am behind 100%. Maybe that phrase in our founding documents is what makes us different from so many other forms of government in recorded history. We as a nation will take responsibility for ourself and make our own decisions and pursue our own happiness....never at the expense of others and with all the best intentions.
