This is beautiful. And to Marcia, I think while Flag Day is the fourteenth of June, there will be many, many flags flying today as well. Every day I fly my flag is flag day. That's just an umbrella phrase for anytime we fly our flag! If you've ever lived overseas, and not on a military base, you can not know the joy os seeing the flag as you approach the American Embassy in that city! It will give you goosebumps and be so happy to claim that red, white, and blue as your own! YOUR flag!
God bless the U.S.A.
There's a similar scene at the end of the movie "Not Without My Daughter" starring Sally Field and Alfred Molina. Sally's character "Betty," clutching her young daughter, have finally been smuggled out of Iran (in the 80s after their revolution) and dropped off in Turkey. Betty approaches the American Embassy in Ankara -- where our U.S. flag is shown flying in slow motion. It's also a scene that brings tears to your eyes, causing us to realize it has always been a symbol, worldwide, for freedom and sanctuary. God bless America and all of us who are privileged to live here. And may God bless and watch over our military troops stationed around the world, who continue to keep us free.
Hello. Your videos have at times strengthened me, amused me, and made me think more deeply about different subjects than I normally would. But this one surprises me instead. We here in the US recognize "Flag Day" on June 14th. I saw this video on July 4th, what we consider our "Independence Day" from the tyranny of British rule. Great reference either way - in the movie it did end up being a sign of Gere's "independence" from his captors, but my curiosity was aroused.
Why are you calling today "Flag Day"?
Aside from my nosy question, I do want to thank you for your inspiration, your hope and the messages of God's promises to us that you share with us.
Thank you - As soon as I posted the video appeared - I saw that movie, Red Corner, and thought it was very moving - It's amazing what becomes important when you are about to lose your life
I can't see any video on this particulat blog - I can view older one's but not this one - I hope it comes up in a couple of days

Dear Martha Williamson:
You are a wonderful way to start the new day. Your messages, and above all, the way you say them, are so welcomed by me. You have none of the hoopla or drama of so many speakers (and not just in the interminable political season, where deafness may be a blessing).
At 75 I should be too old and calloused to be so moved, but I am very very appreciative that I can just tune you in and receive another message of inspiration, hope, and goodness with your very special way of saying it.
Thank you, thank you.

I don't know why but I cry every time I watch your inspirational videos. I don't think it's cuz I stopped taking the antidepressants, or cuz I can picture richard Gere running. Maybe I just get it. I really just 'get' the message you're conveying and feel the overwhelming Spirit you have and share. Thank You.
