Hi Martha,
I am always underconstruction but maybe one day it will all stop but when that happens I will be with my mom on the otherside of curtain.
~~~~~~~ The Bible tells of three
stages of perfection for God's
children "during the work in
progress" and "under construction."
1. Perfect Relationship:
This perfection is absolute and
unchangeable, and it's this perfect
relationship that guarantees that
we will one day be "completely
perfect" (# 3).
Colossians 2:8-10
Hebrews 10:8-14
2. Perfect Progress:
We can grow and mature spiritually
as we continue to trust Christ, while
we're "under construction." We can learn
more about him, draw closer to him and
obey him. Our progress is changeable (in
contrast to our relationship, above), for
it depends on our daily walk. We only
grow toward perfection, under construction,
if we press on to do so.
Philippians 3:1-15
3. Completely Perfect:
When Christ returns to take up into his eternal
Kingdom, we'll be glorified and made completely
perfect.
Philippians 3:20,21
__________________________________________________
All 3 phases of perfection are grounded in faith in
Jesus Christ and what he has done, not what we can
do for him. We cannot perfect ourselves -- we cannot
manage our own "under construction" or "work in progress"
status -- only God Almighty can work in and through
us to continue his work until it's finally on the day
when Christ Jesus returns.
Philippians 1:6
That's just the way it is.
AMEN!
Martha,
Thank you for your devotions.They are a blessing.This subject reminds me of the Old Testament example of God being the Potter and we are the clay. He molds and makes us throughout our life.
I agree with the praise for the "Touched by an Angel" airing on Hallmark. I saw the one about the slavery in Sudan and how God touched the little boy's heart to raise money to freedom for some of them. His mother took the money to redeem them and God did a great work in her heart. The song, "For Such a Time as This" was so appropriate for the message. God bless you. I hope the Lord leads you to start another tv series with these great truths.
In His Love, Anita
Martha love this message and you!!! It makes me think about my life verse....Phil. 1:6 "For I am confident of this very thing that he who began a good work in you will perfect on the day of Christ Jesus".
Love you friend!
Hello Martha,
You know when you think about it, we all are under construction. Because none of us are perfect. We all have some part of our lives that we can make better. We have to pray the he will help us and give us the strenght to make that part better, so we can go on to the next part, that we need to make better. God bless you for bringing us this messesages, because i know they make my day a little better and brighter.
Thank you and GOD BLESS.
Linda
