Many Americans watched last weekend’s Hurricane Irene cause havoc as it traveled up the Eastern Coast of the nation. Now many of us need to help with the recovery.
Much of this work is in its early phases, but there are already places to give donations and to sign up as a volunteer in some areas. For some ideas on where to begin, check out CNN’s ways to help. You can also contact your local Red Cross chapter for ways to help.
And also pray. Prayer does help, even when we can do nothing else.
Let’s do all we can to help our neighbors in need.
