Angels on Your Shoulder

Angels on Your Shoulder

A sacred image

posted by Susan Gregg | 11:14pm Thursday July 9, 2009

Aloha everyone,

A friend of mine e-mailed me this image as part of a chain letter. I have always disliked chain letters with their veiled threat that if you fail to pass them on, something bad will happen, but if you do pass them on, something wonderful will happen. I liked the image and the blessing, so I thought I would change it a bit and pass it along.

The nice part about working with angels is you begin to realize you can keep the love and leave the fear behind. Allow this image to bless you and fill you with love. If you feel so moved, feel free to share it with others. If any of you know the original author I’d love to know.

This is said the be an ancient, sacred image of an angel. After you look at the image, open your heart and make a wish. It will come to pass.

angel.jpgAfter you make a wish, know that this angel has a role in your life. It is:

I’m your friend,
Your companion,
Through good times and bad,
Your friend,
Your buddy,
Through happy and sad,
Beside me you stand,
Beside me you walk,
You’re there to listen,
You’re there to talk,
With happiness,
With smiles,
With pain and tears,
I know you’ll be there,
throughout the years!

With love and aloha,
Susan

The Burning Question
I love Danielle LaPorte. mentor. I have long believed the quality of life is dependent upon the questions we ask ourselves. Danielle just started this idea of a Burning Questions. She asks one, answers it and then asks others to answer as well. I going to play and I hope you will answer the quest

How can this be an “ancient sacred image of an angel” when it was said to have been photographed recently in Cancun? Any “photograph” can be easily manipulated and is certainly not an ancient image since it IS a photograph?
I don’t mean to be negative, but…that claim just seems outlandish to me.
It IS a lovely picture, though…calming and peaceful. I like it! Glad you shared it.

I passed on what I was sent and asked anyone if they knew where it came from. A reader was kind enough to let me know where it came from so now we all know.
Does that make it any less sacred? That I guess will be in the eye of the beholder.
With love and aloha,
Susan

Years ago when I was feeling very vulnerable I made a heartfelt but quick prayer to meet an angel. The next day, an impoverished little boy was added to my classroom. His name was Angel.
