Some images from Latvia

Aloha,

I am currently in Latvia teaching classes. This is the first time I have been here and what a magical country. Just thought I’d share some images with you. I am staying in the middle of a pine forest and the smells are just wonderful!

With love and aloha,
Susan

Thoughts on the Boston Bombing
Ever wondered why people chose to hurt one another? I have pondered that question over the years. As a child I was profoundly distressed by violence and what I perceived as cruelty. I often get e mails from people asking me the same thing.  I have come to the conclusion that we can only hurt

Embraced by love
I’ve never thought of myself as a poet but lately poetry has been coming. Happy Solstice and Merry Christmas. Here is a poem: Embrace by Love. I hope you enjoy it. The blast of cold Snow blowing Dusk falling It is so cold, so very  cold Miles to go I’m not sure where My feet are cold

What is an angel?
I get that question a lot. The best answer I have is they are pure, expansive unconditional love. They embrace us always. They surround us with their love and I've been told that unless we ask they won't interfere in our lives. I guess that is true except my life has been saved more than once by som

Angels are your friends
I get so many e mails asking me how to work with angels. The other day I got a phone call from a woman who had bought my book and wanted to recover some stolen money. As we talked she became more and more disappointed. She seemed to expect the gods to smite this person for what they had done and imm

I was born in Latvia and have many more relatives there, then in the USA. Although I have not ever been back, several of my cousins have visited me. I am planning a trip to Latvia with my brother next year. My parents said Wisconsin remainded them of Latvia. I will keep reading your comments.

Aloha Josephine,
One of the things I love about Lithuania and Latvia are all the flowers. I miss the flowers of fall living in Hawaii. We have beautiful flowers too but not the beautiful flower gardens I see in front of so many of the homes here. I will be posting more pictures of flowers soon.
Enjoy your screen saver!!!!
With lots of love and joy,
Susan
Angels are EVERYWHERE when you are willing to look.

Aloha Ventspils,
What a gift to live in these times of change. If we love the changes ease and expansion can be part of our experience. Your country is full of magic. I felt so much love I was deeply touched.
With love and aloha,
Susan
