Aloha,
The holidays are upon us and stress often becomes a big factor in people’s lives. There are articles about how to eat less during the holidays, find the right gift, manage your time, deal with family dinners and a whole plethora of other things we think cause stress in our lives.
Actually, the most effective ways to avoid stress is by changing your thinking and the way you feel about life. The best way I have ever found to do that is by committing random acts of kindness. What a wonderful holiday tradition to begin! When we are sharing love and kindness with others there isn’t any room left for stress in our lives.
To me, angels are the epitome of random acts of kindness. Many people over the years have touched my life is such profound ways, sometimes with something as simple as a smile. Here on the Big Island of Hawaii the aloha spirit is still very much alive. My heart is always touched by a warm smile of aloha. The street I live in is one way in places so people have to pull over to let one another go buy and it is seldom done without a wave and a smile.
Later this week (Saturday) I am going to run a contest about random acts of kindness and I will give away copies of my book on Spiritual Healing so stay tuned.
Here are some fun sites and organizations that are all about random acts of kindness.
- Acts of Kindness
- How to commit random acts of kindness
- The online Random Acts of Kindness Group
- 29 Ways to commit random acts of kindness
And here are a whole lot of posts on our own Beliefnet about random acts of kindness
With love and aloha,
Susan

One day I was feeling so rejected, lonely and hurt as to say the least depressed.
I was talking to the angels out loud as I do as I do often everyday, to give me a sign of love.
A few minutes later I went to the kitchen and in a clear glass of water that I put florida water, when I look into the glass, I saw a very big heart formed in the water as big as the glass. Tears came down my eyes as I realized that the angels were telling me I am not alone, never alone they are there with me as well as OUR FATHER..I will never forget that day…
Thank you Father God For All The Angels & Archangels and Especially mine, “MY LOVING ANGEL AND DEAR FRIEND THAT OUR FATHER PLACED IN MY LIFE WHEN I WAS BORN”, “MY ANGEL ARIEL” ~ GOD BLESS YOU SUSAN ~

How wonderful. Thanks for sharing that with us. Indeed we are never alone and we really do live surrounded by a sea of love, we have to open our hearts and our minds to receive.
With love and aloha,
Susan

How do we get there? A place of despair. I know we are human… but we know our Angels are with us. We are not alone. And yet? It happens again.
I love the confirmations I receive. It is my angelic “hello” or “I am with you”. It is the ribbon that pulls me back into my place of love and light.
Most of my confirmations are feathers. I find them everywhere… but really they find me. I am truly blessed to have divine guidance in my life… with unending patience… for the times when I need the signs.
Blessings to you and all you do,
Karen

It could be I have slight dyslexia or am getting old, but I read what you wrote as ……..”29 days to commit radical acts of kindness.” I had not heard of that, so I re-read and then saw it said RANDOM acts of kindness. It got me to wondering what would be the difference between the two? Would a radical act of kindness be more profound? Hmmmm…..

Aloha Susan, your name and Kathy,
Thanks for taking the time to post a comment. Kathy your 29 days gave me a good laugh. I am glad I am not to only on that ‘makes things up’ while I read them!
Angels are so present in our lives once we are willing to acknowledge them especially this time of year. The malls are full of them, they decorate people’s homes and wave to us along a lot of downtown streets. I love the decorations this time of year, so colorful and full of representations of angels.
With love and aloha,
Susan
