Oscar the cat: a loving angel of death

posted by Susan Gregg | 12:00am Monday February 1, 2010

Scientist Dr. David Dosa wrote a book entitled “Making Rounds With Oscar: The Extraordinary Gift of an Ordinary Cat.” Oscar is a resident of a nursing home who has the uncanny ability to know when someone is about to die and curls up next to them as they pass over. Oscar brought comfort to the families because they knew their loved ones wouldn’t die alone.

If a cat is there to comfort a person as they pass over imagine how quickly the angels appear!

Oscar instinctually knew when I person was getting ready to leave their body. If we expand our awareness we can feel the presence of angels and deepen our connection with the divine.

Just for toady know you are surrounded by angels and that you CAN feel their loving presence. See what happens, I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

With love and aloha,
Susan

Angels are everywhere just open your mind and your heart to the signs.

The Burning Question
I love Danielle LaPorte. mentor. I have long believed the quality of life is dependent upon the questions we ask ourselves. Danielle just started this idea of a Burning Questions. She asks one, answers it and then asks others to answer as well. I going to play and I hope you will answer the quest

Fearless Friday: a brand new day
Every morning we get a brand new day. What are you going to fill it with? It is so simple, yet we make it so hard. Each thought is a choice. Sure they seem to come from no where at times. The first thoughts is a freebie but we can always choose to follow that thought, nurture it, believe it and e

All i ever learned about angel is that our own ministering angels were ever present before we notice them working in our lives,so,the we owe it to our angels our joys and protections we receive yesterday, today and for always,as long as we remain in faith to God,surely, the angels remain with us too.

I am very aware of the connection that animals have and how they can tell emotions. I have a 15 lb. Maltese/Poodle cross and he always knows if I am upset or worried and won’t leave my side. He has the need to protect me if he feels I am upset or down. He surprises me. I also have a cat that looks after everyone. My son’s cat will have nothing to do with any of us only my son. She is very funny cat and just loves my son. I cannot think of my life without my animals. They bring my family so much joy and laughter.

I agree animals can bring you so much joy. When my dad was dying my one dog stayed with him constantly. We would position dad so she could lay next to him in the hospital bed and snuggle with him. After he passed, she came over, nuzzled his face and then left the room.
I have lots of animals and they all seem to have their own special gift.
With love and aloha,
Susan

I first heard this story on a tv news show and it touches me to the core. This is truly an amazing cat. Thanks for the reminder to pay attention to the little clues that surround us on a daily basis that we, too, can feel the presence of angels.

Heard about a movie coming out that has a cat with similar “powers.” its called “Saying Goodbye,” and seems really good. It’s about a woman at the end of her days and how she deals with death. Pretty cool. Here’s the website: http://www.sayinggoodbyemovie.com
