After years of traveling I finally figured out why, for weeks before I leave I suddenly hate traveling. I am afraid. I am afraid I won’t get everything done or I’m afraid I’ll forget something or I’ll be late or…The list goes on and on. There is that little fear bug again. The morning I was getting ready to depart I decided I was going to stop traveling altogether. I was never ever going to travel again.
When I have that sort of reaction I know fear is lurking somewhere. Once I saw the fear I was able to talk to myself and came up with a wonderful plan, or at least I think so.
My plan is very simple. If I am leaving on Tuesday I will do all my tasks and set my schedule to leave on Monday. Then I can spend Tuesday relaxing, enjoying my fur friends and alleviating all the stress and fear. And of course call upon Archangel Raphael to do his travel magic.
I can walk with peace or walk with fear, they seldom walk hand in hand. There is always a way, once we face the fear, to find a way to invite peace and ease into the situation and into our lives.
