A poem: The light
I am not by nature a poet, my mom was though. Recently I have been writing poems so I thought I would share one with you. The light The light Bright, guiding, full of love The light from which we come Love Pressing, pushing, filling Ever present Filled with the power of creation A

Thoughts on the Boston Bombing
Ever wondered why people chose to hurt one another? I have pondered that question over the years. As a child I was profoundly distressed by violence and what I perceived as cruelty. I often get e mails from people asking me the same thing. I have come to the conclusion that we can only hurt

Embraced by love
I’ve never thought of myself as a poet but lately poetry has been coming. Happy Solstice and Merry Christmas. Here is a poem: Embrace by Love. I hope you enjoy it.
The blast of cold
Snow blowing
Dusk falling
It is so cold, so very cold
Miles to go
I’m not sure where
My feet are cold

What is an angel?
I get that question a lot. The best answer I have is they are pure, expansive unconditional love. They embrace us always. They surround us with their love and I've been told that unless we ask they won't interfere in our lives. I guess that is true except my life has been saved more than once by som

I love this video, and the link you make between fear and procrastination. Most often, we read about fear causing procrastination, but you are absolutely right about procrastination causing fear. I will be linking to your video, and processing its message for my own life. Thanks.

I so much enjoyed looking at the video and will test it out on myself. I must admit that procrastination can cause negative results in your life and can be habit forming if not stopped early.
Many thanks for the encouragement!

This was a great video. Very practical advice that can help just about anyone overcome not only procrastination but also helps deal with other issues such as time management and organization. Being overwhelmed causes great anxiety in many people so I think breaking things down in three steps a day is great.
On another note, the video itself (and your other videos) is a little bit too fast to watch. Visually, it makes me kinda dizzy and puts me in an anxious state of mind because the images are flipping, moving, twisting at a pace which is not very calming and in contrast to what you are trying to convey in your context.
Thanks for sharing!

I was totally involved in your video. I found the scenes were almost hypnotic as I listened to your voice and I was able to connect to both. It was very calming and opened my senses to the possibilities I will be able to overcome procrastination as well as connect to myself and nature on a new level. Thank you. I am preparing my list.

Hey Mary, Margaret, Amy and Debra,
Glad you enjoyed the video. This is my all time favorite and think of all the things we can change in our lives this one makes the most difference.
I am en-route to the US and will be so glad to be home again soon,
With love and aloha,
Susan

Susan, I don’t think I have enjoyed a video more than yours. So peaceful and your voice so soothing. I have never understood why I could not overcome my procrastination. I am so excited to try your suggestion of making a list of three things. I seem to always make things so hard for myself and I expect so much of myself (perfection) that it is hard to live up to my standards. Thank you for helping me to be more realistic. I know I have a long way to go to connect on your level but I am willing to make the effort.
Thank you from the bottom of my Heart.

Susan
Thank you for your video and insight. I struggle with the issue of procrastination. I have encountered far too many negative side effects of this, only to fall deeper into the cycle, but not quite able to break free from the cycle. I appreciate your approach of using managable tasks. I also have a long road to go but welcome your strategy. Your message comes at time when it is very much needed. Thank you.

So, here I am, a guy listening to this, but I won’t go macho and I’ll try your method. I had just prayed this morning that God forgive me for my procrastination and now here’s your video; an answer to my prayer?

This video caught my attention because I’m a procrastinator and I intend on following your easy steps. Thanks.

I love being the answer to someone’s prayers. These three steps really will help you overcome procrastination.

Dear Susan, Thank you so much for this video. I too have problems with procrastination. I know my health problems have caused a lot of it, but it has also turned it into a very bad habit as you said. I am going to practice what you said, and hopefully I will start to feel much better about myself again, because this person I have become is just not me & I feel horrible about myself on a daily basis because I can’t seem to get anything done anymore. Now I’m overwhelmed & it has just become worse, so I am promising myself today, to start a list & begin to do the things I have put off for so long!

Make sure you make the things on the list manageable. Set yourself up for success. If you need to clean the house make it into small, easily doable tasks. If the house is a real mess break each room into doable tasks and put three parts of it on your list.
With love and a smile,
Susan

Dear Susan, I could feel your words resonate inside. I prosratinate a lot. I always seem to schedule more than I can do. I can certainly commit to 3 smaller things each day. I love the video and the sound of your voice! I have made my list for today

I like this very simple way to allow entry into success. I will try it today and perhaps use it with some of the people I am helping, if it works for me. Thanks.

Some people, like myself, would say “I already know this and love myself”, but to hear someone tell you that you should remind yourself of these emotions on a daily basis is a great thing. Thanks!

Last night on “Earth Day” on KCET, it challenged “What are you going to do on Monday? I love nature, but in a busy life, it has been pushed aside. So your video hit home in several ways:Procratination, Loving myself and connecting with nature! You are so right about Procratination stealing so much! You said I need to trust myself to get things done, then I can get back to accepting myself! I encourage others, but always forget about myself. Then I put off one of my big loves: gardening, again, letting myself down. Wow! Such a simple idea- instead of facing and fighting the big fire of the what has to be done, do a few small things every day and those big fires won’t come up as much! So, here it is on Monday- I promised I would do something after watching that program- so tonight, I am going to plan 3 things to do each day for a week! One for nature! I can do that!!! I hate making lists and not doing them as they seem so big! Breaking it down is refreshing! Thank-you!

I know for a fact that this very simple exercise and commented to yourself works. I will take a huge task and break it down to smaller steps and before I know it the task it completed and done correctly.
It is hard to teach this method of living with others and for them to get it. But I will keep trying because people with low self esteem are a real drag to be around, so it is up to those that have been there to try and gently nudge them to a better life. I am just learning how simple life truly is and I am thankful for the guides that the universe sends me. Thanks

You have made very astute observations about life and your environment, and you communicate it very well to us. I have some trouble with procrastination, but have worked on it. I will try some of your suggestions. Thank you.
Actually, I plan to join Procrastination Anonymous, next week, or in a month or two…
..Just joking. :0)
