Angels on Your Shoulder

Angels and aromatherapy

posted by Susan Gregg | 12:00am Monday May 17, 2010

I love working with essential oils. I like having my house smell of spices, herbs and various oils. When I did a web search for angels and essential oils there were hundreds of sites selling a wide variety of mixtures for guardian angels, Mother Mary, a variety of saints and for clearing your aura and your space.

With aromatherapy I find my nose is the best guide. Some of my favorites for working with angels are frankincense, cedarwood, rosewood,
clary sage, rose, lavender, sandalwood, myrrh, balsam, patchouli and ylang ylang.

Aromatherapy can be a wonderful way to facilitate working with angels. Our sense of smell plays a profound role in our ability to remember something or create a new memory. If you burn a certain incense when you meditate or pray whenever you smell that incense your mind will automatically go into that sacred state of mind.

When people begin to work with angels two of the tools I find most helpful are candles and essential oils. I enjoy working with an altar. I have one in my office with a nice cloth on it, some candles and a few of my favorite icons. I also have an essential oil diffuser in which I put different oils. I find it a pleasant reminder and often light a candle when someone asks me to pray for them or before I meditate.

As always angels are always just a thought and a prayer away but I love candles and incense so I use them to deepen my connection with them. Try it and see if it helps.

With love and aloha,
Susan
