I am in the process of putting an addition on my house to extend my bedroom, create a new office and a meditation room. Hopefully I will be able to see the ocean and the mountains from my meditation room. Dealing with designers, draftsmen, plumbers and contractors has been quite an amazing adventure. When I listen to the quiet inner voice of my spirit I keep hearing, ‘trust the process, just trust the process.’

Working with angels constantly reminds me that there is so much more to this world than I can see with my eyes. It is so easy to get caught up in ‘reality’ and forget to open my heart and my mind to the angelic realms. When I do I can actually see the humor in life and enjoy the process.

As part of the process they had to remove my old bathroom so I could enlarge it. For several days a variety of young men used diamond saws and jackhammers to break up the old floor getting it ready for new drains and to pour cement. The day before we were to pour cement the contractor went in to check things out. At some point one of the plumber’s employees had taken all the broken up cement and put it back in the hole. The contractor was very upset as was I.

It took me a few hours to remember to pray. As soon as I did I remembered to trust the process and eventually was able to laugh. I sudden saw the cement symbolically. How often in life had I spent time unearthing an issue or understanding something only to put the cement right back into the same hole!

The plumber sent someone over and he cleared out the rubble. I wasn’t home but I did wonder what his thoughts were as he moved the old pieces of floor once again. Tomorrow the same plumbers come back to remove my solar hot water panels and redo some of the plumbing while the contractor replace the roof. I can think of all sorts of things that could go wrong or I could pray and trust the process.

One of my favorite saying is “Trust Allah but tie up your camel.” I will trust the process and if the plumber again does a questionable job I will hire someone else for the rest of the job. In my personal life I am remembering to take the old junk to the dump.

With love and aloha,
Susan
