I just got this wonderful email from Lisa the author of this beautiful poem, so I pass it along to you.

This
little angel doesn’t understand why it had to be created so tiny among
the other big angels or pink. She then realizes she was made perfect
even though she couldn’t see that at first.

I thought this might be a positive poem for all of us who constantly
beat ourselves up for not looking a certain way, thinking there is
something wrong with us and that the Higher Power, Creator, God loves us
for being who we are with authenticity.

The Pink Angel

by Lisa

There
once was an angel different from the rest,
She was not golden or large like the other angels and did protest.
She wanted to be just like them in every way,
But she never transformed as much as she would pray.
“Why can’t I just be like the other angels here?”
God had an answer and it was, “Your revelation is near.”
For on a day where she felt left out,
She heard a mother’s voice shout,
“Please God, I need help my daughter is dying.”
God sent The Pink Angel to stop her crying.
The Pink Angel comforted the mother and child,
She took care of their needs ever so mild.
The little girl saw the angel in pink,
And gave her a big smile with a wink.
“Mom, there’s an angel here so pink and filled with love,”
“Honey, how I wish I could see this being from above.”

“The Pink Angel saved me mom she sent waves of healing,”
Her mother could not talk about how thankful she was feeling.
The Pink Angel realized she was created to assist every child’s needs,
Because she was small and pink they wouldn’t be afraid of her righteous deeds .
“Now I understand God I was made just right.”
She never again felt badly by her sight.
