Guardian angels: we all have one

posted by Susan Gregg

We all have one and they are easy to connect with if we are willing to practice a bit and open our hearts and our minds to their presence. A great angel to start practicing with and remember all spiritual practices take practice so practice opening up to the love that surrounds you always.

Here is an excerpt from my book The Complete Encyclopedia of Angels:

Guardian angels are spiritual beings created expressly to
guide and direct spirits incarnated into the physical realm. They work with
people, animals, plants and all aspects of the earth and the universe. Guardian
angels  protect you and most importantly
they will guide you and bring you messages from Spirit. Scriptures say angels
were created by God because their existence brought him joy. Perhaps it pleases
God to have heavenly beings assisting all of his creations.

The idea of guardian angels is found in Judaism,
Christianity and Islam. You are born with a least one guardian angel who
watches over you your entire life. From time to time other guardian angels will
come to your assistance you when you have a particular want or need. Your angel
will encourage you to make choices which will create joy and deepen your
spiritual connection. They can’t take actions for you or stop you from hurting
yourself, but they can gently remind you of your perfection. Their greatest pleasure
comes from seeing you succeed in life.

If you begin receiving advice about the stock market or
other speculative ventures,  chances are
that your mind is pretending to be an angel!

Invocation

Call upon your guardian angel often. Express your desire to
know your angel. Open your mind and heart and allow yourself to develop a
life-long relationship with your angel. Close your eyes and visualize
your guardian angel. You can ask the angel’s name if you’d like. It might take a
while until you are able to see and hear your angel, but if you practice on a
regular basis it will be well worth your effort.

With love and aloha,
Susan

Thoughts on the Boston Bombing
Ever wondered why people chose to hurt one another? I have pondered that question over the years. As a child I was profoundly distressed by violence and what I perceived as cruelty. I often get e mails from people asking me the same thing.  I have come to the conclusion that we can only hurt

What is an angel?
I get that question a lot. The best answer I have is they are pure, expansive unconditional love. They embrace us always. They surround us with their love and I've been told that unless we ask they won't interfere in our lives. I guess that is true except my life has been saved more than once by som

Angels are your friends
I get so many e mails asking me how to work with angels. The other day I got a phone call from a woman who had bought my book and wanted to recover some stolen money. As we talked she became more and more disappointed. She seemed to expect the gods to smite this person for what they had done and imm
