PRAYING small

I was asked to read this book before it was published. It is wonderful, very heartwarming and all about love, giving and the gifts we receive by giving. What a prefect fit for our 40 days to love.

River Jordon got the message to pray for strangers as her New Year resolution. That was the beginning of a wonderful journey. I would highly recommend reading Praying for Strangers when it is released in a a few days.

I had the privilege to ask River Jordon a few questions about her experiences with this book. Here is that interview:

How has Praying for Strangers changed your life?

I view people differently now. I mean individuality and as a whole. I no longer rush through my day with strangers just sort of filling the void of space around me. After spending years now of praying for strangers in my quiet time, introducing myself to people and meeting them, listening to their stories, I’m much more aware and tuned into the fact that we really are in all this together. That our lives are much more linked and woven together than we realize.

What would you like to say to readers to encourage them?

When you least expect it, someone you don’t know may be praying blessings in your life. Never allow yourself to feel isolated, and alone. And even in your lowest moments, your reaching out a hand to someone else, saying a prayer or a hello to some complete stranger you are passing could have much more of an impact in their lives than you could possibly believe. You are worthy, needed, and unique. Don’t forget that.

With love and aloha,
Susan
