Angels on Your Shoulder

American Idol and angels

posted by Susan Gregg

I wonder how many of the contestants said a prayer during the American Idol competition? I wonder how many of the contestants asked the angels for help during the American Idol competition? I have heard people that have voices like an angel and those whose voices remind us that silence is golden.

Who was your American Idol favorite? Did you enjoy the personal stories or even bother to watch? I only watched one episode, the one where the contestants has to walk through that long long room to find out if they were one of the final few. I really felt for them.

What do shows like American Idol say about us as a society? What does our belief in angels say about us? More Americans believe in angels than in global warming.

Care to share any comments about American Idol or angels or global warming or …..?

I have had laryngitis for the past week so I have been able to record any more guided meditations but my voice is coming back – so soon, very soon!

Congratulations to Scotty McCreery!!!

See all 40 days with angels posts

With love and aloha,
Susan

Thoughts on the Boston Bombing
Ever wondered why people chose to hurt one another? I have pondered that question over the years. As a child I was profoundly distressed by violence and what I perceived as cruelty. I often get e mails from people asking me the same thing.  I have come to the conclusion that we can only hurt

Embraced by love

What is an angel?
I get that question a lot. The best answer I have is they are pure, expansive unconditional love. They embrace us always. They surround us with their love and I've been told that unless we ask they won't interfere in our lives. I guess that is true except my life has been saved more than once by som

Hello Susan,

This is my first time visiting your website. I have been a watcher of American Idol on and off over the last 10 years. This year, the energy of the show was totally different than in previous years. It was much more positive, upbeat and supportive for the contestants, who were, in my opinion, the most talented group I have ever seen on the show. Not only were they talented, but they appeared to be genuinely supportive of each other and seemed to have a special connection with one another. I was also impressed with the judges, who dealt with the contestants, for the most part, in a kind and compassionate manner. Although it was difficult seeing contestants sent home every week, I thoroughly enjoyed this season and hope that next season’s show will be handled in the same positive manner.
