5 reasons to focus on gratitude
Fear is:
False
Evidence
Appearing
Real
1. Gratitude feels so much better than fear
Fear causes us to make choices that usually create outcomes we don’t want. Bottom line gratitude feels good. Fear doesn’t.
2. Seeing through the eyes of love we only see gratitude
Gratitude allows us to love all of life. Every event in our life, especially the unpleasant ones always have a gift attached to them, if we are willing to see the gift. Gratitude helps us see and allows us to feel better.
3. Gratitude allows us to see the bigger picture.
I find the questions:
How can I see this through the eyes of the angels?
What would an angel do?
Make a huge difference in my life and the answers are always filled with gratitude.
4. Gratitude will set your free from the limitations of self.
A friend of mine used to tell me, “When you are all wrapped up in yourself you make a very small package.” Gratitude allows you to be big, loving and kind.
5. Did I mention gratitude feels good.
It just feels good. Write a gratitude list everyday and notice how much better you feel.
Spend this holyday season filled with gratitude an joy. Share that gift with as many people as possible and watch your life light up!

Thank you for this message; I have run across many anti-fear messages lately including this quote from Rumi: “Root my being in certainty so I witness you without fear. Even as the waves of blood crash over me and the worlds char in fire.” Ten days ago I helped my dog cross over, 6 months after his sister died. I also lost my dear mother in law. I am in grief, and watching the news doesn’t always help. But I continue to list what I am grateful for, including the certain knowledge that love never dies. I can promise you that even as my dog’s earthly life slipped away as I was holding and petting him, there was absolutely no interruption in the flow of love between us. And there hasn’t been any interruption since. To me that’s the real message of Christmas – that Love Never Dies.

Aloha Kathy,
I agree the love never dies and the truth is only the love is real. I watch the news with the awareness that some people, areas and actions just need more love.
I think the message Jesus came to share was that – love, only the love is real.

I have a new CPU so hopefully my comments will all go thru. Speaking of fear, next Tuesday is my next blood donation appointment, and I freely admit there is some fear, even after the mystical experience I had last time. So I am sending Mary, Brigid, the dogs and the rest (I sound like the Gilligan’s Island theme song) on ahead to prepare the way and expect them to be there to greet me. I know the need for blood goes up this time of year, and I think the Divine is so happy to help me in part b/c I am facing fear and doing an anonymous act of service to help the collective/the All.
