Fearless Friday: Happy New Year 2012

posted by Susan Gregg

Fireworks clusterWhat a great time to reflect. What were you thinking about last year this time? Did you have any New Year resolutions? How did it go? Did you achieve the results you wanted or just blow them off?

What do you want to create in 2012? Years ago I was terrified of going bankrupt. I thought about it a lot, worried about it and lost sleep about it. I had been supporting myself quite successfully for 13 years with my stained glass studio but I worried anyway.

Worry is futile

Worry in a sense is actually planning to create something we’re afraid of having happen and that we certainly won’t enjoy when it shows up in our life. Eventually I created going bankrupt. In the process I did learn to pay attention to what I thought about.

What have you been thinking about lately? Is it what you want to create or what you are afraid might happen?

Take a few minutes to connect with the angels and then write a letter about what you do want. you could even let the angels write back to you. Then make some concrete plans, decide on some actions you are willing to take on a daily basis.

Listen to the angels

The best thing I ever did for myself was to spend sometime each day connected to the angelic realms. To meditate and pray on a daily basis is truly life changing, especially when you listen to the whispers and take actions accordingly.

Make list

Make a list of what you want to change and then think about what you can do to make that change happen. Be realistic. If you want to quit smoking you might want to find a support group.

At the top of your list put some affirmations of self love, acceptance and perhaps a prayer that speaks to your heart.

Let’s make 2012 a year full of magic and wonder.

Thoughts on the Boston Bombing
Ever wondered why people chose to hurt one another? I have pondered that question over the years. As a child I was profoundly distressed by violence and what I perceived as cruelty. I often get e mails from people asking me the same thing.  I have come to the conclusion that we can only hurt

What is an angel?
I get that question a lot. The best answer I have is they are pure, expansive unconditional love. They embrace us always. They surround us with their love and I've been told that unless we ask they won't interfere in our lives. I guess that is true except my life has been saved more than once by som
