Angel love: Archangel Chamuel

Aloha,

I thought I'd share one of my favorite Archangels with you.

Excerpt from my book The Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides and Ascended Masters:

Chamuel

Chamuel's name means "He who seeks God." He is often described as "pure love in a winged form." He encourages open-mindedness and reminds us that we must love ourselves first if we have any hope of bring able to love others. Chamuel will help you release judgmental attitudes, even  if you are unaware of them. He will help you use your shortcomings as an opportunity to connect with your spirit, rather than carry them as a burden. He is one of two angels who comforted Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane

Feast of the Guardian Angels 2009: Fearless Fridays

Aloha,

This Fearless Friday, we are going to celebrate the Feast of the Guardian Angels. This feast has been celebrated for centuries, but Pope Clement X elevated this feast and made the official day of its celebration October 2 in the 1670s. Feast days or holy days are celebrations that commemorate the sacred mysteries or a pivotal event in history. I think of them as an opportunity for us to connect with the divine. For hundreds of years, millions of people have celebrated this feast so we can use that energy to tune into and celebrate our Guardian angels.

Making an angel your best friend

Jophiel-small.jpgAloha,

I used to spend a great deal of time talking to my best friend on the phone. Spend a bit of time making Archangel Jophiel your best friend and watch your life transform!

Excerpt from The Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides and Ascended Masters

Archangel Jopiel

Jophiel can help you:

  • Do well on exams
  • Clean the house
  • Overcome ignorance
  • Banish prejudice
  • Protect the environment
  • Jazz up your spiritual practices
  • Enhance your creativity

Invocation:

Ask archangel Jophiel to inspire you. He often works in subtle ways so don't be discouraged if you don't see instantaneous results. He is there, bringing his wisdom and insight into your life in unusual ways, so pay attention to the small details of your day. Although his help may seem slow in manifesting, he works at a profound level to facilitate permanent change and lasting solutions.

Light a yellow or gold candle when you ask for Jophiel's assistance. Take a few minutes to gather your thoughts and then talk to him about your life. Allow his gentleness and joy to illuminate all of your choices. Ask for his wisdom as you begin anew.

What are your favorite angel movies?

Aloha everyone,

When I think of movies about angels I always think of John Travolta as Michael. The line I remember best is, "I'm not that kind of angel." I loved the scene where he fought with the bull and saved the dog's life.

The next movie that comes to mind is the City of Angels. I loved the scene where the angels all go to the beach to watch the sunset. I also enjoyed Robin Williams in What Dreams Must Come. Richard Dreyfuss in Always touched my heart. I also found Meet Joe Black and Defending Your Life interesting. There is a wonderful list of angel movies on Beliefnet and I would love to hear about your favorite movies too.

With love and aloha,
Susan

Yes indeed, there really are angels on your shoulder now and always.

About the Art

The angel image in the header art above and the Pele image below are from Susan's book, "The Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides and Ascended Masters." The images are used with permission from Fair Winds Press.

About Pele
Pele is the Hawaiian goddess of the volcano as well as the goddess of transformation, passion, vitality and creation. Pele is a powerful force on the Hawaiian islands. Shortly after I moved to Hawaii, a friend suggested I have my property blessed. I asked Pele if I could live and work on her land. She graciously agreed, so I always take time to thank her and ask for her blessing in my endeavors.
