Special Winter Solstice Ceremony Tonight

Aloha! I've posted a video below about the magic of ceremony. Tonight I will be leading a ceremony to celebrate the Winter Solstice.

Enjoy the video and if you want to join me and learn more about the power of ceremony and even take part in one this evening, just follow the link at the end of the video. (This is the first of a year-long series and you are welcome to attend this first session at no charge as my gift to you for the new year.)

This photo reminds me of Robert Frost:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference

Help Me Provide Clean Water

dirty water The house I bought on the Big Island of Hawaii has catchment water.  There is no municipal water system so I catch rain water from my roof. I liked the idea, it seemed very ecological. It does require work on my part to keep the water clean and drinkable. I have to change water filters and since we have acid rain due to the volcano I have to check the Ph and add baking soda. I also have a UV filter to kill the nasty things that can grow in water.

It takes me about a half hour a week to take care of the water system. When I had the UV filter installed they cleaned the water pipes with peroxide. I was shocked by all the black crud that came out. Up until then I had only used the water for bathing, not for drinking. I am very mindful of the fact that plentiful water is an incredible gift.

I was shocked to find out that 1.1 billion people have no access to clean water on this planet and that more children die from drinking contaminated water than any other cause. I have set my intent to build as many wells as possible.

I had the wonderful opportunity to attend a webinar about clean water and find an organization dedicated to providing clean water to villages. I had one of those ah ha moments and decided to help in whatever way I could.

If you click on this link you can watch a short video and then hopefully you'll click the other link and help me give a village the precious gift of clean water.

Be an angel and give people the gift of clean water. We take fresh water for granted. We open the tap and there it is, but in so many places on this planet clean water is a luxury. And a shower or a hot bath is unheard of.

100% of what you donate goes directly to the project, every last cent goes toward drilling that well! And once we meet our goal, within a year they will send us photos of the finished project. Imagine a child will live because you gave them the gift of water.

My other blog, Angels on Your Shoulder is dedicated to providing the miracle of a well to as many villages as possible, each well costs $5000. Just watch the video and then follow your heart.

Please help me, be an angel and help these people have clean drinking water today. Thanks and please ask all of your friends to help too.

With love and aloha,
Susan

EVEN GOD ENJOYS A GOOD LAUGH!

A friend sent me this and I had a good chuckle, so I pass it along in hopes it brightens your day as well. I must admit I like the last one best!

There were 3 good arguments that Jesus was Black:

1. He called everyone brother

2. He liked Gospel

3. He didn't get a fair trial

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Jewish:

1. He went into His Father's business

2. He lived at home until he was 33

3. He was sure his Mother was a virgin and his Mother was sure He was God

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Italian:

1. He talked with His hands

2. He had wine with His meals

3. He used olive oil

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was a Californian :

1. He never cut His hair

2. He walked around barefoot all the time

3. He started a new religion

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was an American Indian :

1. He was at peace with nature

2. He ate a lot of fish

3. He talked about the Great Spirit

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Irish:

1. He never got married.

2. He was always telling stories.

3. He loved green pastures.

But the most compelling evidence of all - 3 proofs that Jesus was a woman:

1. He fed a crowd at a moment's notice when there was virtually no food

2. He kept trying to get a message across to a bunch of men who just didn't get it

3. And even when He was dead, He had to get up because there was still work to do

So it's Friday

Since my dad came to live with me I have been focusing on caring for him instead of my blogs. I miss posting and connecting with my readers. I love wordless Wednesday and realized I missed it again this week....

About Pele
Pele is the Hawaiian goddess of the volcano as well as the goddess of transformation, passion, vitality and creation. Pele is a powerful force on the Hawaiian islands. Shortly after I moved to Hawaii, a friend suggested I have my property blessed. I asked Pele if I could live and work on her land. She graciously agreed, so I always take time to thank her and ask for her blessing in my endeavors.
