Fearless Fridays: Death

Aloha,

I get so many e-mails from people who are afraid of death or who are dealing with the death of a loved one. Recently, my father died and I am still dealing with the aftermath of his departure. When someone has a close family member die, people are often unsure of what to say or do. Death is part of this journey we call life. Life is, after al,l a fatal disease; no one gets out of here alive, especially if we align ourselves with our body. Our spirits are eternal our bodies aren't.

Since this week I received several e-mails from people struggling with fear of their own mortality, I decided to talk a bit about death and how to face it in a fearless manner. We have such an obsession with death as evidenced by the obsession with Michael Jackson's autopsy and Princess Dianna's death photos.

The power of prayer and angels

Aloha,

A friend of mine sent me a chain e-mail that said if you passed it along, your wish would come true. It contained a beautiful prayer that got me thinking about angels and the power of prayer. When I look at the world today, what I see is a hunger, a hunger that can only be filled with a deep and profound connection to our spirit.

Last night, I had an amazing dream in which I was talking to some people about the power of grace. Grace wasn't something I had thought a whole lot about, but after the dream, I felt very loved and curious. Then, today, my friend sent me this prayer.

A money box, the economy and angels

Aloha,

Yesterday I wrote a post about creating an Angel Box. Today I am going to show you how to change your beliefs and your experience with money, the economy, and the source of your income.

I love making things. I could easily get lost in a craft store for hours. A friend of mine showed me how to paint furniture, and I created all sorts of beautiful altars and meditation benches. I had a wire basket I used to put all my bills in. It was purple and held lots of bills, but my cat used to wake me up every morning by noisily pawing through all the papers. So I decided to put them in a box instead. At the time, I was working on changing my beliefs about money, and an idea was born.

Making an angel box

Aloha,

A while back I posted about my angel box and, afterward, I received several emails asking me how to make one. I've been thinking about making one and taking pictures, but I know the likelihood of that happening any time soon is probably nil and zip. Over the years, I have found that actually doing something is far better than thinking about doing it, so here are the step-by-step directions for making an angel box.

You can make it very simple or very elaborate, but the most important thing you can do, if you really want to change your life, is to make it and use it!

Fearless Fridays: Halloween and fear

Recently I gotten several emails from readers asking me for concrete ways to overcome fear once it has taken hold of their thinking. I find this Cherokee story of the two wolves a wonderful way to deal with fear.

Halloween History - witch story to believe

As do most holidays Halloween has its roots in several different traditions. In the Celtic tradition it was called Samhain (pronounced sow-in) and it was the celebration of the harvest and the end of a year.

Wordless Wednesday: spirit orbs again

Ever since I saw my first spirit orb I have been fascinated by them. Since I know the people who took the pictures or took them myself I know they are not a hoax or enhanced in any way.

Breast Cancer Month and St. Agatha

Since this is breast cancer awareness month I thought I would post about my favorite Saint, St. Agatha. Her story is horrendous and yet she died in peace. Her connection to her divinity was so deep she had only love and compassion for those who sought to do her harm.

Angel love: Archangel Chamuel

Chamuel’s name means “He who seeks God.” He is often described as “pure love in a winged form.”

Living from your heart

Our minds are a magnificent tool. They were just never meant to be in control. When our spirit is in control, we begin to experience a reality that is free of fear and limitation.

Angel Tree Program

I just noticed that the Salvation Army is starting to take applications from families in need for this coming holiday season. Many years ago I went to the mall around Christmas and there was an angel tree. I bought shoes for a family.

Kindness and love

Aloha,I just removed several comments that were, to say the least unkind, racially prejudiced, and downright unacceptable. For some reason, I didn't get a copy of them when they were posted or you can be assured they wouldn't have stayed...

The Words Behind the Words

When my mother was a young girl, she wanted to be a poet. Her teacher made fun of her poetry and my mom believed her. Based on her teacher’s opinion, my mother gave up her dream.

Evil and angels

Angels are all about love. Love, love, love. As it says in the Tao, "Give evil nothing to oppose and it will disappear by itself."

Angel blessings

Since I began to consciously work with angles my life has changed in so many ways, all of them elegantly gracious, easy, gentle, loving and kind. I had angels lurking in every corner of my house before I finally woke up and started actively working with them.

About Pele
Pele is the Hawaiian goddess of the volcano as well as the goddess of transformation, passion, vitality and creation. Pele is a powerful force on the Hawaiian islands. Shortly after I moved to Hawaii, a friend suggested I have my property blessed. I asked Pele if I could live and work on her land. She graciously agreed, so I always take time to thank her and ask for her blessing in my endeavors.
