On Friday I said I would show you how to meditate. I have been teaching people how to meditate for over twenty years, and I consistently watch people make it much harder than it is by judging themselves and the process or expecting meditation to be something it isn't.
The only way you can meditate improperly is by not giving yourself the gift of meditating regularly. A very simple way to meditate is to sit or lay comfortably in a quiet location. Start by taking a long, slow, deep breath. Gently focus your attention on your breathing; if your mind wanders, just bring your attention back to your breathing.
Fear stops us from following our bliss. Actually, fear stops us from doing a lot of things that bring us happiness and joy. Fear can be overwhelming, but here are some simple things you can do to free yourself from fear's relentless grip.
I ran across a blog post I really liked the other day about miracles by emettruth.
In Jewish tradition, the word we translate "miracle" is nes. A nes is a sign, like a flag, waiving above a building or a marker, drawing your attention to something special.
I thought about the idea of miracles as flag posts or markers of the special things in our lives and as I looked at my life, I saw a lot of miracles. What if you saw everything special in your life as a miracle? How would that make you feel about your life? Play with the idea and see what happens.
Come to the edge, he said. They said: We are afraid. Come to the edge, he said. They came. He pushed them, And they flew ..... - Guillaume Apollinaire
My mind is swimming with thoughts today; instead of a gentle trickle, it feels more like a flood-driven raging river, and I have learned over the years that's a good thing.
Today is the day to celebrate all saints, known and unknown. I wasn't raised Catholic, so I knew very little about saints until I wrote my book "Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides and Ascended Masters." I found the saints absolutely fascinating. I used to mistakenly think saints were about suffering and martyrdom when, in fact, they were amazing men and women who had managed to profoundly connect to the divine.
Death is such a touchy topic for many people. Life is after all a fatal disease, our spirits are immortal our bodies aren't. So how do we deal fearlessly with our own mortality?
Do the current economic conditions worry you? In this post I am going to show you how to change your beliefs and your experience with money, the economy and the source of your income.

As do most holidays Halloween has its roots in several different traditions. In the Celtic tradition it was called Samhain (pronounced sow-in) and it was the celebration of the harvest and the end of a year.

When a child dies or someone is murdered they ask why God let it happen. Personally, I don't believe God causes suffering. God only creates perfection, love, peace and joy.
Buddhism teaches us to align ourselves with our spirit and from that perspective there is nothing to fear because we are immortal, eternal and infinite.
Gratitude has the ability to return us to that childlike nature where we are amazed and excited by all of life and are connected to God in a concrete and constructive manner.
Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up. Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us all.
A story about Sunday dinner that shows us beliefs served a purpose once upon a time but when left unexamined they cause us to waste a lot of our lives.
Placing a basket by your front door and affirming only love dwells here can help you create a refuge from fear and worry as well as helping you transform your life.
Brother Lawrence found that by giving he received and by being of service he was fulfilled. So what does all this have to do with angels, the economy and your financial success you ask?

About Pele
Pele is the Hawaiian goddess of the volcano as well as the goddess of transformation, passion, vitality and creation. Pele is a powerful force on the Hawaiian islands. Shortly after I moved to Hawaii, a friend suggested I have my property blessed. I asked Pele if I could live and work on her land. She graciously agreed, so I always take time to thank her and ask for her blessing in my endeavors.
