Fearless Fridays: following your bliss

Aloha,

Fear stops us from following our bliss.  Actually, fear stops us from doing a lot of things that bring us happiness and joy. Fear can be overwhelming, but here are some simple things you can do to free yourself from fear's relentless grip.

Twilight Barbie, Angel Valley sweat lodge - some thoughts

Aloha,

Come to the edge, he said.
They said: We are afraid.
Come to the edge, he said.
They came.
He pushed them,
And they flew .....
- Guillaume Apollinaire

My mind is swimming with thoughts today; instead of a gentle trickle, it feels more like a flood-driven raging river, and I have learned over the years that's a good thing.

Angelic affirmations

Aloha,

Affirmations are a very powerful way to change both our thinking and the circumstances in our life. Of course, whatever we focus our attention on we get more of, so when we change our thinking life changes.

The more we can think like angels and see life through the eyes of the angels, the more magical and easy our lives become. Angels never struggle, they never find even the biggest miracles difficult to manifest, they never feel unloved or disconnected from their source. So rather than asking angels to help, what if you asked angels to help you be more like them?

Wordless Wednesday: spirit orbs

Aloha,

For a number of years, I have been going to Lithuania to teach for the month of September. I love going there and really enjoy working with the Lithuanian people. I have often seen spirit orbs in the photographs taken there. It was interesting because I had read an article about them just before I had a chance to see them. Here are some pictures one of my students just sent me.

They aren't spots on the lens or fake. They are balls of energy, spirit orbs or perhaps angels. I am not sure what to call them. I just know when I open my mind and my heart to their presence, it is a reminder that there is more to see in this world than my mind can comprehend.

Gratitude

IMG_0367.jpg

Aloha everyone,

Gratitude can be such a powerful force in our lives. Whatever we focus our attention on, we get more of. If we focus on what's wrong in our lives, we get more problems. If we focus on what we're grateful for, we get more of that. What would you really like to experience? The choice is always yours. Where are you willing to focus your attention? Do you want to focus on what is wrong in your world and have more of that? Or do you want to spend time each day focusing in all the good things in your life and in the world and see those thoughts multiply?

About Pele
Pele is the Hawaiian goddess of the volcano as well as the goddess of transformation, passion, vitality and creation. Pele is a powerful force on the Hawaiian islands. Shortly after I moved to Hawaii, a friend suggested I have my property blessed. I asked Pele if I could live and work on her land. She graciously agreed, so I always take time to thank her and ask for her blessing in my endeavors.
