Italians seem to look less favorably on people being kidnapped off the street and sent to other countries to be tortured. They even charge the people responsible with crimes. I call that civilized because it repudiates violence and force and supports decent law.

Since Congress never issued a declaration of war as required by the US Constitution the Nuremberg defense, even if it were valid, wouldn’t apply here.
