Astrological Musings

Welcome to Astrological Musings!!

astro-clock.jpgWelcome to Astrodynamics, a blog about the movements of the planets and how they affect our lives. Astrology is much more complex than the “sun sign” astrology you see in your daily paper: each of us has our own unique blueprint which is the horoscope, and the dance between the earth and the planets, sun and moon facilitate cycles on earth and within ourselves.  Increasing our understanding and knowledge of these cycles helps us to be able to navigate them more effectively and create genuine transformation in our lives.  We are not limited by our stars, as William Shakespeare said, only in how we use what we’ve been given.

In this blog you’ll find daily updates on planetary configurations and meanings, as well as horoscopes of famous people and events in the news.  We’ll explore connections between cultural trends and planetary cycles, and discuss strategies for managing times of crisis.  Political discussions here lean to the left, but other viewpoints are welcomed and encouraged!  Religious discussions lean toward the unorthodox, but all faiths are respected here.

Although Astrological Musings is new to Belief Net, there are over 2-1/2 years of writings in the archives!  Take a look, and visit our new Astrological Musings community where you can ask questions, share your views, and ask a free question for astrological advice.  Stop by and introduce yourself!

Your comments and feedback are always encouraged, so welcome aboard!

Update: The Beliefnet Community appears to be fully functional now so please join us!

Sunday inspiration: Trusting the future
Astrologers have a reputation, which we ourselves and our forbears have propagated, of being able to foretell the future.  If you run a Google search for "Can astrology predict the future," the very first article is from a well-known astrology site titled "Predicting the future with astrology."

Neptune in Pisces and the question of reality
Neptune just slipped back into Pisces where it will remain until 2025.  Neptune's role in the astrological pantheon is to cause us to question where the physical world ends and a more transcendent reality begins.  It therefore rules our spiritual experience, but it can also be confusing and induce

I am very happy for you that you have a new home. However, I am not happy with your new home. I don’t go to beliefnet very much because their pages are so slow to load. I am subscribed to some of their mailing lists, and I never read them because, once again, you have to open a website to read the entire email and it takes forever to load. I tried to read your site this morning, and it was slow coming in. Eventually I will probably give up reading your blog because of this. I wish beliefnet would do something to speed up loading of their websites.

Page loads are pretty quick on my end. Laura, perhaps you ought to add DNS server codes to your Network setting – good ones are Verizon’s public codes 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2. If you’re on a Mac, just add the codes to the DNS servers box in the System Preferences>Network panel. If you’re on a PC consult someone who is familiar with trolling the “dark side”. ;)

Laura, I’m unhappy to hear I might be losing you because of my new home. I think part of the problem might be the popup ads that they have and if you have a popup blocker it takes some time for it to be blocked.
Why don’t you subscribe to the blog instead and get the posts in your inbox? that might take care of the problem.
I’m going to send this on to the powers that be and see what they say. Don’t leave me yet!

It is refreshing to find a website that recognises the importance of astrology, our spiritual progression and life lessons. Many who do not understand these concepts are unevolved. New Years 2008: My Little Brother Chris Dropped Dead – a moving testimony to a brother with Asperger’s Syndrome, by Zen Peace at amazon.com. If you know someone who is socially naive, shy and intelligent then read this book.

Hi Lynn,
First off I would like to say congratulations! I’m glad to see that all of your hard work on your blog really paid off. Its inspiring for the rest of us astrology bloggers. I like the new layout you have here as well.
I’m just going around giving everyone the heads up that I lost my old blog domain (apotelesmatics.com) and I have recently switched to a new domain at horoscopicastrologyblog.com. Since the old domain is redirecting to some lame advertising website at this point I thought that I would let you know so that you could have a chance to update you links.
Best regards,
Chris Brennan.
