Sunday inspiration: Trusting the future
Astrologers have a reputation, which we ourselves and our forbears have propagated, of being able to foretell the future. If you run a Google search for "Can astrology predict the future," the very first article is from a well-known astrology site titled "Predicting the future with astrology."

Neptune in Pisces and the question of reality
Neptune just slipped back into Pisces where it will remain until 2025. Neptune's role in the astrological pantheon is to cause us to question where the physical world ends and a more transcendent reality begins. It therefore rules our spiritual experience, but it can also be confusing and induce

Leo Full Moon, February 7 2012
art by Dave Archer. The Moon will be full in Leo on February 7th at 4:54 pm Est/9:54 pm GMT. The Full Moon is the peak of the lunar cycle - it's a time when our goals and aspirations reach fulfillment as we prepare for the waning cycle during which we are generally asked to let go of something tha

Sunday inspiration: The Great Nest of Being
"Whenever we moderns pause for a moment, and enter the silence, and listen very carefully, the glimmer of our deepest nature begins to shine forth, and we are introduced to the mysteries of the deep, the call of the within, the infinite radiance of a splendor that time and space forgot - we are intr

The trouble with Demi Moore
The troubled actress Demi Moore has been in the news lately after she was hospitalized for what appears to be a combination of prescription drugs, nitrous oxide and alcohol. While her behavior has been more erratic since her separation from third husband Ashton Kutcher, Demi has a long history of

Thanks Lynn. I like the image, although the scientific “discovery” may prove to be another dart thrown in the dark at the dart board.

Yes, Uranus seems to be in the driver seat these days. However, Neptune may be sitting in the back seat feeding information to the cockpit.
What strikes me as somewhat funny (given the intelligent level of scientific people) is how “perception” in the scientific realm can be driven by delusion. Neptune in Aquarius can sure stir the pot when it comes to scientific interpretation of the Universe at large.
Because of the vast distances involved, Cosmological scientist can only access the past. With that information in hand, the next step is to extrapolate the data to form some sort of theory (which usually is debunked by some new perspective). Dark matter may ultimately prove to be one great delusion.
There’s a fascinating read of an altered perspective I found at this site: http://www.theresonanceproject.org , which focuses on Einstein’s theory of relativity and the possibility we are living on the event horizon of a black hole. Sound far fetched – Brilliant-minded Stephen Hawking used to pooh-pooh the idea of the existence of a black hole until the Hubble Telescope showed him differently? This site has some amazing information – Uranian to the max, with some very good mathematics (for those that like to dabble in the “beyond the beyond”) to support the theories.

Thanks for that link Joseph! I have to admit it’s way beyond me, but I’m going to check it out. The beauty of all of this to me is that it shows us that science can only go so far – that the Universe really is infinite and human knowledge is very limited.

It takes the ego exclusive to humans to think we can understand the intention of the Divine.

Yes Lynn, it is “beyond the beyond”, however, of everything I’ve seen, the theories expounded on that site make the most sense to my brain.
Back in Galileo’s time when the Geocentric model was the rage, elaborate devices were created to explain the retrograde motion of planets. Wheels upon wheels were added to the model, making it more complex than its previous version. Utlimately, this model crashed due to its cumbersome nature and its unworkable mechanics.
Fast forward to present time and the ultimate fudge factor “dark matter”. Most astronomical and physics scientists literally are clueless about Universal dynamics. It’s like the scientist from the Geocentric model have reincarnated to present day. The current models include 4 forces – gravity, strong and weak nuclear forces, and electromagnetic. Yet, scientist can still not account for over 90 percent of matter. So it’s called “dark matter” (interesting term), which basically is a fudge factor.
So the scientific quest has been to find dark matter. A rather futile exercise says the Resonance Project. In their body of work (found on the site), the weak and strong nuclear forces are eliminated from the model. In their place is added the dynamic force of “spin” or “torque”. Adding spin to gravity and electromagnetic energy completes Einstein’s Universal Field Theory. For anyone inclined to venture into a very complex world, the mathematics is there to prove their theory. Quite a remarkable feat, and something now being vetted in scientific journals and circles.
To me, the simplest answer is always closest to the truth. I guess that’s the ultimate Universal paradox: complexity is the cloak of simplicity.
At the Resonance Project site, there also exists a more basic (read “understandable”) explanation of their theory and its broad implications. What I also like about the site and their material is how the theory is linked to the Kabala, iChing, Dao, Bible and other mystery schools.
Good stuff.

Here’s another Uranian discovery of stars beneath the sea. Amazing how we think we know this planet but there is so much unknown, and the ocean is a frontier all its own. Here’s a snippet:
A city of brittle stars off the coast of New Zealand, an Antarctic expressway where octopuses ride along in a flow of extra salty water and a carpet of tiny crustaceans on the Gulf of Mexico sea floor are among the wonders discovered by researchers compiling a massive census of marine life.

Well said, Mr. Pundit.

Joseph hit the nail on the head. I’ve always felt that ‘Dark matter’ was a bunch of hogwash meant to shore up an old system of beleif, rather than fixing it. and ‘fudge factor’ is exactly the term I’ve always used.
and, Joseph, the phrase you’re looking for is “occam’s razor”: ‘All else being equal, the simplest explanation is usually correct.’
