Obama's grandmother has died

Monday November 3, 2008

Barack Obama's grandmother Madelyn Dunham, the woman who raised him for most of his formative years, has died in Hawaii.  I wrote a couple of weeks ago about the transit of the South Node over Obama's Sun as an event...

The only thing the Director from the State of Hawaii confirmed, was that Obama was in fact, born - and they have proof of it on paper. The carefully crafted statement, made no mention of where he was born. This is grossly irresponsible journalism. You are hearing what you want to. Take off the blinders, and consider the facts.

*****************

Media personnel,

Use the link below, for reference to factcheck's claim that the "Department of Health confirmed Oct. 31 that Obama was born in Honolulu". The words are carefully chosen by Hawaii's Department of Health officials for their prepared statement, and factcheck's conclusion is never met or addressed. These are facts. This is evidence, if not against Senator Obama, against factcheck...the advocate-for-legitimacy the Obama campaign relied on to "debunk" these rumors. How complicit, as a journalist, fostering integrity, are you prepared to be? If you want to join the Obama campaign, do so. If not, engage in discourse with your peers and subsequently vote for him. If you want to be a journalist though, informing the people on matters of public interest, please, someone, anyone....do so. Yes, I am desperate at this point. Not because I am afraid to discuss "real" issues, but because, embarassing as it may be for the DNC, this seems to be a Constitutional oversight that few are willing to report on. Constitutional oversight, relating to our Presidency, is no small matter.

It will take 5 minutes. Check the website for their quote "Department of Health confirmed Oct. 31 that Obama was born in Honolulu", in the link below. Don't read my whole write up. Cool. No problem. Scroll to the underlined portion though.

http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html

Like I said, upon studying it, please scroll to the underlined passage. You don't have to read it all, but this is more than enough evidence to prove that factcheck is, at ths point, creating their own facts. Since they are the allegedly non-partisan, all-knowing, all-proving, governing website the Obama campaign turned to for advocacy on this matter....is THIS newsworthy and evidentary enough to once and for all cross the threshold? This is evidence, if not against Obama, against factcheck. Please, let me know. And if not, let me know what I'm missing. Thanks.

"Fact Check: Born in the USA":

This release is really from factcheck.org, only serves to further discredit this group. Before this release, here is why informed constituents questioned their findings:

1). In Hawaii, a "Certificate of Live Birth" does not denote natural born citizenship. Per the Hawaii Department of Health, these certificates are made available to those born in foreign countries. http://hawaii.gov/health/vital-records/vital-records/index.html

2). As most of us know, what was displayed on the Obama and factcheck websites - is not, in fact, a birth certificate. Birth certificates are packed with additional detail, including hospital of record, doctor, etc. Claiming they were showing us an actual "birth certificate", was either ignorant or deceitful.

3). Factcheck.org, while sometimes identifying ultimately inconsequential "facts" that help Senator McCain or hurt Senator Obama - is an entity sponsored and enabled by the Annenberg Foundation. Senator Obama worked previously under and for the Annenberg Foundation (alongside the unrepentent, domestic terrorist, William Ayers). In that way, it is irresponsible for us or the Obama campaign to blindly accept this website's claim of being "non partisan." Afterall, while they're the first to charge the questions around Barack Obama's natural born, and/or properly maintained citizenship - as being nothing more than internet-based rumors...they too, are really nothing more than a website.

4). Factcheck.org never questioned why they were being asked to "validate" the document, as opposed to a true governing body; one that, I don't know, maybe wasn't internet-born. Why not the Federal Election Commission? Why not the Board of Elections? Why not the Democratic National Committee? Why, a website? If their mission is to identify facts, you would think their suspicions would raise when the Obama campaign failed to produce any documentation to any actual governing bodies. Rather, they picked factcheck.org, they would have us believe based on the site's credibility (debunked, below), and said "Here, take this and tell the world we are eligible."

5). When this case was brought before the courts by a lifetime Democrat - the former US Deputy Attorney General in Pennsylvania, Philp Berg....the "evidence" the Obama campaign claimed was "proven" by factcheck.org, never saw the light of day in court. Rather, the Obama campaign, and his lawyers from the Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), spent months fighting the case. They produced no evidence. They produced no discovery. It is a well known legal fact that if you have documentation that will help your case, you are eager to present it. Alternatively, if said documentation will hurt you, you will dance circles around actually having to bring that information out.

These are literally, people, off the top of my head. There are more, I'm sure. But for now, moving on. Please watch as I personally discredit "factcheck.org", below. They will say, "We misspoke". Hold on; this website's entire reputation is based on their ability to properly vet and parce out "facts". In that way, misquoting is unacceptable - and the way they did it, is clearly partisan. See below:

1). The lawsuits they blindly cite as being "dismissed", were, interestingly enough, not "dismissed" based on merit...but rather, the judge (Barclay Surrick, an Obama Supporter), after months of watching Barack Obama and his lawyers fight against having to actually produce the documentation requested by the plaintiff, decided to throw it out entirely because he said a citizen didn't have "standing" to ask that the Constitution be upheld. (It is written in the Constitution, that you must be a natural born citizen to be eligible for the Presidency.) And when did the judge make this questionable decision? Factually enough, the same afternoon Barack Obama returned from his timely trip to Hawaii to visit a grandmother (rest her soul) we have not seen or heard from over the course of his campaign. Regarding Judge Surrick's decision, the Constitution is literally a contract between "We The People" and our government; if we can't ask that it be upheld, who can? To leave this detail out, is to mislead the public. When factcheck, and others, write this off as baseless because it was "dismissed", but fail to recognize the technicality-laiden reasons it was dismissed - they are nothing short of complicit in what appears to be the greatest fraud ever perpetrated against the American people, or our process, by Barack Hussein Obama II.

2). Chiyome Fukino: "There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama’s official birth certificate. State law (Hawai‘i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record. Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures. No state official, including Governor Linda Lingle, has ever instructed that this vital record be handled in a manner different from any other vital record in the possession of the State of Hawai‘i." A public official recently thrust in to a very sensitive matter, the Director carved the words out very carefully for release. Where in this statement does it say anything about Senator Obama having been born in Honolulu? Factcheck.org, not only failed to state the facts...but in this instance, they went ahead and created their own. Fukino's statement proves one thing, and one thing only: Barack Hussein Obama II was, in fact, born. And they have proof. Shocking revelation. Shocking. More importantly though, all sarcasm aside, it is overwhelmingly apparent at this point - that factcheck.org is in fact, no way non-partisan, and certainly distantly left of reporting actual facts...as demonstrated by their blatant attempt to create their own when they state, based on Director Fukino's release, that "The director of Hawaii’s Department of Health confirmed Oct. 31 that Obama was born in Honolulu."

"You're out of your mind, Hank. There's no way he could have gotten this far without being properly vetted." People are making this assumption, but that's all they're making: the assumption.

FACT: Senator Barack Hussein Obama II has yet to produce any documentation to any governing body authenticating his natural born citizenship, and/or his properly maintained citizenship (having moved to Indonesia and becoming a citizen in that country, with his mother).

FACT: When compelled to do so by a citizen of the United States, per the contract "We The People" have with the governement by way of the Constitution, rather than quell the charge by handing over the documentation (as Senator McCain did in earlier suits against him)....Senator Obama chose instead to spend to time, money and resources quietly fighting the case in court with primary attorneys from the Council for American-Islamic Relations (fact!).

FACT: When the case was thrown out, it was based, after months of hearings and motions, on a technicality. NOT on merit or evidence brought forth by Defendant Obama.

FACT: In the State of Hawaii, "Certificates of Live Birth" can be afforded to people who were born in foreign countries.

FACT: Several of Senator Obama's family members, boasted proudly, that they were in the delivery room, in Kenya, when he was born. This goes back to reporting done in 2004.

FACT: There are 2 hospitals in Hawaii in which conflicting claims have been made by Senator Obama and his half-sister, that he was born in. These citations also go back several years, long before Obama knew Section II, Article I of the U.S. Constitution might come back to haunt him; long before he planned to run for the Presidency, at a time when he was still telling the world he didn't believe in applying for a job unless you know what you're doing - and for that reason, he would not be running on the national ticket.

The information that was requested of Senator Obama should not be difficult to produce. We more fiercely vet sales professionals and little league baseball players, than we have Senator Obama. College transcripts, birth certificates - basic stuff. And yet, this man who runs on a platform of transparency, remains, literally, the most secretive nominees we have ever embraced.

FACT: Senator Obama is yet to release any of the following:

1. Occidental College records -- Not released
2. Columbia College records -- Not released
3. Columbia Thesis paper -- "not available"
4. Harvard College records -- Not released
5. Selective Service Registration -- Not released
6. Medical records -- Not released
7. Illinois State Senate schedule -- "not available"
8. Law practice client list -- Not released
9. Certified Copy of original Birth certificate -- Not released
10. Embossed, signed paper Certification of Live Birth -- Not released
11. Harvard Law Review articles published -- None
12. University of Chicago scholarly articles -- None
13. Record of baptism-- Not released or "not available"
14. Illinois State Senate records--"not available"

People say, "Awww well, you Republicans just don't want to talk about the issues, because you know you'll lose." Wrong. Categorically, unfairly, unconstitutionally wrong. I would love to be talking about "real" issues right now. I would love to watch this election unfold, having had the opportunity to engage in debate and discourse regarding areas of national concern like security, energy and/or the economy. Barack Hussein Obama II, simply will not let me. To ask me to engage in "real issue" discourse about a prospective Obama Presidency, would be like asking me to offer a theif in my home - something to eat or drink. This man has simply left too many questions still unanswered, for me to even begin to dignify that conversation. Fox News did not do this. Rush Limbaugh did not do this. Conservative bloggers did not do this. Barack Obama did this. This is exclusively his doing and his responsibility, and based on what we've seen out of him as it relates to this matter, behavior that only serves to raise more suspicion - only he can undo it.

The few things we do know about his past, he has lied to us about.

"I didn't know he was a terrorist when I launched my career from his living room." Oh, thank goodness. We appreciate you clearing that up for us.

"I was 8 years old when this man did these detestable acts." Yes, but you were a 40 year old man when you sat on boards that fostered his council. You were 38 when he showed no remorese for bombing American institutions. But, we're really glad just to hear your voice, Senator Obama, thank you for that blessing.

"After sitting in Wright's pews for 20 years, naming my book after one of his sermons, being married by him and having my children baptized by him....I never heard the regular rantings of hatred for white people and America in general." You are so handsome, Senator Obama.

"I have absolutely no ties to ACORN." Gosh. But, didn't you lead training sessions for them? And, I'm really sorry, really, I am...but it says right here you contributed more than $800,000.00 to their umbrella for the 2008 election. Oh listen to me. So silly. These things don't matter. I'm sure you just forgot.

"Rashid Khalidi, former spokesperson for the PLO, is just a guy whose kids go to school where my kids go to school." You know the drill.

The few things we do know about Seantor Obama's past, when brought to light, are marred with lies made possible only by Senator Obama; not Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, or anyone else. He is quick to backpeddle, and when he does, the media embrace anything he feeds them. And yet, Sarah Palin's wardrobe, which she will be returning and/or auctioning off for charities (which cost roughly 1/5 of what Obama spent in Germany for his stage, sound and lighting alone, mind you - fact!) is huge news. Cindy McCain's 10 year old addicion, must be heard; it must be; the people need to know!

This is maddening to watch. At 31 years old, this is the first season I've awakened politically - and that awakening has ushered in a nightmare that I would not wish on anyone. A nightmare, second only to, the prospective Presidency of a man who has done little more than connect himself to radicals, and apparently - seek to defraud his way in to a White House that he knew he was never eligible for.

I challenge him to prove me wrong. I would love to be proven wrong. As an American who still believes in this country, and who has not yet been brainwashed by slogans and rhetoric (all of which are contradictory to Senator Obama's history and past behavior, mind you) - you have no idea how unsettling it is, to feel so right about these things. Prove me wrong. Please, someone, anyone, prove me wrong. I welcome it. I do. I really, really do.

You know what the problem is Hank, you don't like the idea of a black man running for president just like all the others. McCain, surely does not have a clean record. I would you to put all the dirt out about this man too. By reading this artical you written it clearly shows your a racist.

There are people who also claim McCain was not born in the US. Do you have proof of this Hank?

Some of the attacks on Obama are just bizarre. Just stick to policy differences and make a decision.

Anyway, I'm filing a lawsuit to stop McCain due to info I have that he is a cannibal. Eating human beings is illegal.

websites, blogs and attack ads forthcoming.

Yes, it is maddening. Because the exact same parallels can be drawn using every scurrilous thing McCain has ever said and done or not said and not done, along with every person associated with him.

Zero-sum games, is all it is.

As a 54 year old who has worked with children and adolescents of all colors in the Boston area, I am sooo very proud that it looks like my country will elect a man who has the intelligence, the strength of ego to listen and to learn from others. I have been living in the nightmare, not caused by Obama, but by a president and cabinet that have done more damage to our constitution than anyone could have imagined. It is those men and women that need to be held responsible for what our country is now facing. I now have hope that we can live more in accordance to the vision of our forefathers. Hank you have been listening to the thugs for way too long. Now you know the fear of what I've lived with for the last 8 years. The Repugs had their way with us for all this time and look at the mess they have made.

Hank ... research this:

Hank ... there's more:

With America facing historic debt, multiple war fronts, stumbling health care, a weakened dollar, all-time high prison population, skyrocketing Federal spending, mortgage crises, bank foreclosures,
etc. etc., this is an ***unusually critical*** election year.

Let's look at the educational background of your two options:

Obama:
Occidental College - Two years.
Columbia University - B.A. political science with a specialization in international relations.
Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude

Biden:
University of Delaware - B.A. in history and B.A. in political science.
Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)

vs.

McCain:
United States Naval Academy - Class rank 894 of 899

Palin:
Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester
North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study
University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism
Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester
University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in journalism

(verified through Anchorage Daily News adn.com 1981-1987. 5 schools in 6 years!)

Dolliiee: by reading your reply, I am sorry, but it questionable whether or you're not literate. So pretty much anything anyone negative might say about Barack Obama, makes that person a racist? It's that type of talk that keeps racism alive and well in this country. If I have something negative to say, I'm going to say. The minute I bottle something up, JUST BECAUSE of someone's skin color, I might as well be contributing to the KKK. But since you mention it, the only racism that is happening in this country on any real scale, regarding this election, is the fact that 98+% of blacks are voting for Obama. Are you sure you're ready to bring that issue up, and defend it? Didn't think so.

Beau: Again, what does color have to do with this? If you're voting for someone just because of their skin color, or proud of results just because of someone's skin color - that in and of itself is very racist. At 54 years old, you should be able to recognize that. If we're ever going to get anywhere, we need to start seeing the world through color-blind lenses. You clearly aren't able to do that. I see you're a Bush-basher. Name ONE of Bush's "failed economic policies" that even begins to mirror what was caused by Carter, Clinton and the Democrats in Congress - as it relates to the greatest economic crisis this counry has experience, since the Depression. Just one. Go ahead. Research it. Ask your friends to help. You won't find one. What happened in this country was the result of something called CRA (installed by Carter), loosened by Clinton, and when Bush and other Republicans asked for oversight and regulation...guess who stopped them? You got it! Democrats. The cool thing about the internet and technology, is we don't have to rely on opinions. The facts are all right here, unfolding on Capital Hill, right before our very eyes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YL36nwCSYUM . So careful what you buy in to, just because the media tells you to, and all your friends buy in to it also. If you're so appalled, and so well-informed, then just go ahead and try to name even one policy, brought in to law by the Bush Administration, that fostered or nurtured our economic crisis. Take all the time you need. You should be ashamed of yourself. You're blindly attacking the leader of our country, because someone told you it was "cool". Colin Powell says that attacks by John McCain on Barack Obama, send the wrong message to the likes of Al Jazeera. Yet, who will stand up and remind our people that every time we bash Bush, it sends an even worse message to our competitors and enemies? Well, I will. Pull your head out of your TV. Even if you don't respect the man, respect the office. And if you're worried about the Constitution, please, join the rest of us in asking Obama to prove he even has a right to be on the ballot. He has not done this, regardless of what assumptions people might be making.

Melanie: A similar lawsuit was brought against John McCain, who was born in Panama. In that lawsuit, two things happened: A). The judge, respectful of the US Constitution, expedited all hearings to make sure the issue wouldn't go unchecked - given the time-sensitive nature of the charges brought against McCain. B). He produced all documentation that was requested by the Plaintiff, without question, happily and readily, up to and including his birth certificate. He didn't have to do this, because law was already in place that stated if you are the child of military personnel, born on a US Military bases overseas, you would still be considered to be a "natural born citizen". But still, rather than spend a minute or a dollar "fighting" the case, McCain handed everything over. And for the judge's part, rather than sandbagging the case for more than 2 months, letting McCain dance around presenting any evidence...he in fact pushed hearings and discovery statutes up quicker than usual, so that all parties would be accountable for what was a very real charge. In the Obama case, this never happened.

jj: What did one canibal say to the other canibal, as they were eating a clown? "Does this taste funny?" Ha! Your post is so far gone, all I could think to do was tell a joke. There's really no good response, outside of that. I know you're going to say, "That was my point, Hank." However, I challenge you to get even nearly as far as Philip Berg has with the lawsuit, or to tear this country apart with your claim - like Obama will have done, once the truth comes out and people stop drinking the kool-aid.

Kieron: Are you just hitting random buttons? Interestingly enough, words came out...but it was hard to make sense of how they add up to form a logical sentence. Want to try again? I'm happy to respond.

You guys will see. Biden promised the world would test Barack Obama if he's elected. He guaranteed it. Well, I'm promising you, that whether he's elected or not....January 20th will not arrive before he is ripped to shreds as the fraud he is. Yes, Dolliiee....you CAN be black, and still do bad things. And you CAN be white and say something about it, without being racist. I'm very sorry to have to be the one to tell you that. You might be interested to know though, that not unlike Obama - my mother is white, and my father, who I never knew, not even for one month like Obama got with his dad, was black. Feel good?

Sandy,

I already have. I got the "who would you hire" resume email from a friend of mine. And here was my reply:

So as not to skip the interview process....

What if John McCain said, his goal as your prospective CFO, was to take
commissions from your top performers and give them those who still had not
ramped up or embraced the opportunity they have at your organization? John's
logic is that the top performers aren't really entitled to 100% of their
commissions, because as commission-only salespeople, their consistent selling
records ultimately diminish their value as part of your team. At the same time,
he advises you to increase commissionable percentages to these still un-ramped
employees who you know aren't making their calls, often don't even show up to
the office and in many instances you've caught lying on their expense reports.

What if Barack Obama said, his goal as your prospective CFO, was to leave the
commission structure untouched, because he understood your top performers are
going to be most responsible for getting you out of the red - and in turn,
giving those who are yet to perform more opportunities to do so - even in a
support capacity? Additionally, Barack notes that your top performers EARN
their money, and the minute you tell them otherwise, you risk alienating them,
losing their talent to other markets and instilling a complacency that waters
down the competitive culture that made your organization the best in the
business.

What if John McCain, as your prospective CSO, said that the pricing war you're
engaged in with those who pirate your software is just a fact of life, and we
should pull out of other markets wherein we're fighting it - and concede that
you must part with that business and embrace the future, imminent defecits
you'll incur as a result?

What if Barack Obama, as your prospective CSO, said that as the number one
producer in the world, you must not now or ever grow complacent in your pursuit
to defeat those who cheat your organization - and that there are fundamental
ways to beat them, even if you can't find them, by helping some of your
competitors produce the same quality that you are - despite their having been
robbed by those same pirates for thousands of years?

What if John McCain, as your prospective Office Manager, said that he'd fix the
ink shortage by asking people to draw blood along the way to write with, or find
other, more creative solutions - until someone came up with the best one. In
the meantime, he'd ask everyone to share pens between them, because even though
it would undermine performance, it is really the best solution you have without
chipping paint off the office supply closet? John fails to detail how
counterproductive this is as it relates to those who are not yet ramped up and
for whom ink is a valuable commodity should they decide to show up and start
making calls.

What if Barack Obama, as your prospective Office Manager, tells you and your
maintenance personnel - use the supply closet, dummy. Not just the corner of
it, use the whole thing; there are boxes of pens right up front - those are what
you should grab first if you're running low on ink. And while your sales force
are still performing for you, and your underperformers aren't stuck without the
one resource they really need on those days they wake up and decide they're
willing to work to perform also, we can bring in a new group to work on finding
something better to write with so this issue never slows us down again.

What if John McCain, as your prospective firm physician, tells you that your
best course of action as CEO, is to reach out to all those people you fired
and/or who quit - and offer them blanket, corporate healthcare. This is a good
idea because in your heart of hearts, you know you don't want those people to be
sick. It might mean your top performers and active back-office personnel are
unable to get the care they want and need for their families, but you'll be
doing the right thing - and as CEO of a for-profit organization, that really
should be your only goal.

What if Barack Obama, as your prospective firm physician, tells you that just
because it might make you, or your critics "feel good" about how you're
managing, as CEO, you shouldn't allow guilt to dictate procedure in any
manner....and that unless you want your next health problem to be hemmoraging
even more money than you already are, you should embrace the reality for your
former employees that even McDonald's offers outstanding health benefits - and
they're hiring.

What if both of the paper resumes belonged to black men? Or white men? Or
green men? Do you skip the interview process?

*********************************

Greed has only become more evident since the world first saw communism fail. My
contention is that we are no closer to truly being able to manage that through
communism than we were when most of America's melting plot fled their homelands
to escape it (or the Dictatorships that ensued as a result of it). We are
watching China embrace a combination of about 2/3 socialism and 1/3 capitalism.
Many authorities cite the multiple ways it's working for them. If that's what
Democrats want, and it's sounding more and more like it is, we need to start by
accepting it and calling it what it is. (What good are either of the resumes if
they don't have names and contact information at the top? Definitions matter;
they are how we best create and embrace understanding.) But as the world's
military and economic superpower, as a result of centuries of capitalism - and
the blood, sweat and tears are forefathers WERE WILLING to expel to achieve this
hegemonic status - don't be surprised if you get a LOT of pushback along the
way. That's what Obama's administration would have us headed for Will. Make no
mistake about it. Start with the truth. Say the words, "communism" and
"America" in the same sentence. Ask Obama to do the same. Liberate yourselves
from the bonds of minced words, liberate your opposition from them - and if
that's really the solution you feel is best, start by being honest with us/me
about it. It might go further than you realize, particularly if you call
Christians (like me) on it. I just hope you and those Christians are prepared
to discuss the cumbersome conversation of separation of church and state as
well.

Democrats vote with their guilt. Republicans vote with their conscience. This
is one way to describe our fundamental difference. When I was 13 I used to
think everyone should have equal everything. I don't anymore. I accept
personal responsibility and accountability - and I demand those of sound mind
and body around me do the same. We talk of those in America who are suffering.
I've offered to others, and I'll offer to you, show me one person of sound mind
and body who is waiting for Barack to get elected so he/she can get a job, and
I'll show you someone who is a few steps of personal accountability away from
doing it on his/her own. I'll take these cases one at a time and will manage
finding results in my FREE TIME. It might not be glamorous, it might mean they
have to get up early, it might mean they have to initially curb their budgets
for fast food, cell phones, cable tv, iPods, video games, expensive jeans and/or
drugs - but if you're in America, and you're not "middle class", I can get you
there if you're wiling to work for it. "Work" for it; we wouldn't get paid if
we loved what we did, and those of us who do are lucky - not entitled. I've
barred people who have already and irresponsibly popped out children from this
offer. Having children without a firm, committed, 2 parent plan that will
provide for their well-being - is the ultimate irresponsibility....and harshly
but truthfully, just because so many people have done that, doesn't make it any
less irresponsible - or any more my problem. While there are solutions for them
as well, I'm not going to get caught up in the heartbreak that entails looking
their children in the eye and telling them their parents acted prematurely and
irresponsibly when they had him/her.

Thanks.

Moving on, Sandy, since I endulged your question, how about you endulge one of mine? Have you seen this one?

Without naming names, one party understands this - the other doesn't.

Bar Stool Economics:

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes
to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go
something like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.

So, that's what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and
seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a
curve.

'Since you are all such good customers, he said, 'I'm going to reduce the cost
of your daily beer by $20.

Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first
four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the
other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so
that everyone would get his 'fair share?'

They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that
from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up
being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair
to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work
out the amounts each should pay.

And so:

The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).

Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to
drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their
savings.

'I only got a dollar out of the $20,'declared the sixth man. He pointed to the
tenth man,' but he got $10!'

'Yeah, that's right,' exclaimed the fifth man. 'I only saved a dollar, too. It's
unfair that he got ten times more than I!'

'That's true!!' shouted the seventh man. 'Why should he get $10 back when I got
only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!'

'Wait a minute,' yelled the first four men in unison. 'We didn't get anything at
all. The system exploits the poor.'

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and
had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered
something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even
half of the bill!

And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax
system works.

The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction.
Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up
anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is
somewhat friendlier.

As a foreigner looking in, with no partisan preference, I believe America is about to be deceived on a grand scale, but it will be for the best. A clean break with the past, a new beginning. Abhorrent on principle, but acceptable and even exciting in practice. And I hope American's have it in their hearts to congratulate the old devil running Obama's campaign on his supreme achievement - an act of magic par excellence, the mark of a true alchemist at the height of his powers.

All this has what to do with astrology? Everyone has already made up their mind.

Nothing anyone says will please Hank or change his mind. Nothing Hank says will change anyone's mind. So why fill up all this bandwidth with "facts" that no one except the partisan posting them cares about?

This visit was very weird in the middle of the campaign. I think he went there to replace his birth certificate with a new very well forged copy. It would be very interesting to do a battery of CSI forensic tests (fingerprints, smell, etc) on this certificate.

Andrei: and how would Obama do this with the entire world watching or did he pay all of them off or maybe Obama went invisible? LOL

Yes, it is sad when a grandmother dies. Grandmothers are very special, indeed. At least, she won't have to live here if Obama is elected!

What does it have to do with "Astrology"?--Everything! Lynn Hayes saw in his sign "distress dealing with a woman in his life as signified by the moon". For those of you out there who know anything about Readings and Astrology this is "Significant". Before the "idiot--name-calling" begins----Be educated on what you are speaking about then blog! There is also no great "Birth Certificate" scandal---Please! We have enough people twisting the truth and reaching for smut and scandal anyways, because it is a Presidential Election, Right? What ever happen to What the the candidate can do to make our lives and planet better? It has turned into a "smack-throwing contest" every 4 years. On the other hand, it is very sad for anyone to lose someone they care about when they are away working on something important--and then to have to go on concentrating while grieving--lets just say not everyone could do that. People--Have sympathy and compassion for our human race, the increasing lack of is what is diminishing our lives and our world. Does anyone really care? Most of all people--Be "EDUCATED" by more than your TV and radio! May the BEST -CANDIDATE- WIN!

Lynn has been so gracious to allow all voices to be heard on her blog. Thank you.

I'm saddened that we are still unable to have a discussion about this election that does not end up devisive and mean. Worse than the financial situation or multiple wars, it will rot us from the inside.

Our leaders are no doubt important but it does not abdicate us of our own responsibility to uphold our own humanity, both to ourselves and in respect to others. This is the *real* change we need.

The naivete Obama's campaign has brought out in people is what really scares me the most. I can't help but think of Jim Jones and his incredibly foolish followers. Good intentions don't make up for common sense. Anyone who follows astrology knows that whoever wins is in for some deep doo-doo. When did people stop growing up and stay children? That may be great for faith (said the self-admitted optimist), but reality and facts exist (whether or not you choose to ignore them). Like I said before, the day AFTER the election will be the most interesting. Good luck everyone! I've suffered through years of candidates I could not believe The Fates brought to the Presidency. Every election has people dealing with that "problem." Instead of acting like it's the End of the World, just pray and take care of your own families. I will be so happy when this thug-mentality campaign is over (If you don't vote for Obama, you are racist! If you don't want to pay more taxes, you are selfish!) PUH-LEEZE! There would be a lot less problems in this world if people would act with respect, kindness and foster basic, proper morals (like creating loving family units). It's so easy, and yet....

I really feel like this election is one that will change our country as a whole. Martin Luther King did not have to die in vain.

You're welcome Lisa. It's not easy but I'm (nearly) always impressed by the intelligence of my readers, no matter where they stand.

I do wish we could keep some of the rage and anger out of the comments - I would prefer to have an environment where we can express our views and build a community here.

Hello Lynn Hayes, Lisa, and anyone else out there! I clicked on "Obama's Grandmother has died"-early this afternoon, and as I said earlier-I feel for him. He's literally at D-Day, and still the "SHOW" must go on! He has to keep his composure and move forward. Well,-go on the most sent email photos on yahoo-#1--is Obama speaking with tears running down his face over his Grandmothers death. I just said the night before last how he seems like such a good family man-you always see him living daily life with real smiles and his FAMILY! So, in knowing that he is very close with his family makes a show of him being a very strong and determined person. I was already thinking about a follow-up blog and when I saw his face in tears it made me even angrier at the people who had made the earlier comments on this blog by Lynn Hayes. Once again, What does it have to do with "ASTROLOGY"?----EVERYTHING!!! Earth's Great Ancient Civilizations, looked up to the sky and stars for answers to "EVERYTHING". From Planting Schedules to Politics. Other lifeforms who may be or have been out in our Universe more than likely...the same. We have Day and we have Night and that tells you right there we need to learn from the Universe around us.---Thank You.

It will be interesting to see how this changes his personality. When my Grandmother died (who was like my mother), two things happened. I lost "my rock" and have never fully recovered from the feeling of being tossed in the wind on Earth without her (even though it's been eight years). I also felt a sense of freedom in that I no longer had to be tethered to family members who were nothing but negative energy my entire life.

I like to see things for myself, and since release of a certified birth certificate is being withheld, I defer to Lynn's information. I'd say this will be quite significant in how Obama comes to terms with his past and who he feels he is. I think Chiron is very telling here being conjunct the Progressed Moon. No small potatoes, psychologically.

I, for one, am glad this campaign is over - has been the most stressful in my lifetime. And I also have been very tense, extremely so - does this have to do with the Uranus-Saturn, Neptune thing? Every day I wonder if I can get through the day, that's how tense I've been.

If it even matters at this point, what I meant by "And this has what to do with astrology?" was all the hot air about which candidate did what when. I worded it poorly in my haste and for that I apologize.
