Chiron is in Aquarius, Neptune is in Aquarius with Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, in Pisces, ruler of Neptune, and we are at the dawn of the Aquarian Age. Â Aquarius is the innovator – the transpersonal human. Â Transhumanists seek the ultimate perfection of the human being as beyond the confines of the laws of nature, “Combining artificial intelligence with interface technology, molecular nanotechnology, extension of human life span, genetic enhancing of human mental and physical capacities, combating diseases and slowing down the process of aging, and exercising control over desires, moods, and mental states.”
The most radical aspect of transhumanism is the scenario that humans will be able to transport the content of their brains, their minds, to a non-biological entity and thereby achieve immortality. Kurzweil and other transhumanist visionaries imagine a “brain-porting scenario” that will involve “scanning a human brain capturing all of the salient details.” This will entail reinstantiating the brain’s state in a different – most likely much more powerful – computational substrate. According to [Raymond] Kurzweil this will be a feasible procedure and will happen mostly likely around the late 2030s. In this scenario “we will continue to have human bodies, but they will become morphable projections of our intelligence.” Such “software-based humans,” he predicts, “will be vastly extended beyond the severe limitations of humans as we know them today. They will live out on the Web, projecting bodies whenever they need or want them, including virtual bodies in diverse realms of virtual reality, holographically projected bodies, foglet-projected bodies, and physical bodies comprising nanobot swarms and other forms of nanotechnology.” For Kurzweil this is a form of immortality, although he concedes that the data and information do not last forever; the longevity of information depends on its relevance, utility, and accessibility.
Mr. Spock in the Star Trek series was perhaps one of the original transhumanists and an excellent example of what happens when the famous Spock logic which symbolizes the rationality of Aquarius goes to an extreme. Â I watched only a portion of the video below, but I can tell it’s going to be VERY interesting and something we’ll be seeing a lot more of as we get closer to the Aquarian edge. Â
Earlier this year, the head of the Independent Schools Council in Britain said that within 30 years children would be learning by downloading information directly into their head. Â
An article I wrote back in February of 2007 makes the case for the Age of Aquarius transition around the year 2600. Â When you have a 2600 year cycle, the orb of influence is fairly large, perhaps 500 years or so. Â This earlier article closed with these comments which I’d like to repeat here:
In the best of all possible worlds, humans could evolve during this phase into enlightened beings, able to link the best of science with the best of spirit in a Utopian paradise of freedom and justice for everyone. Or will we face another future involving the worst of the Aquarian dynamic akin to a science fiction film: a fiercely rational and scientific future that requires perfection, using technology to create perfect humans through cloning and control of the masses via genetically manipulated food and computerized thought police? Like the Terminator and Matrix movies, will machines (technology) take over?

It’s eerie to consider how detached the human race could become from its very soul when we focus so strongly on the potential technological aspects of the Age of Aquarius and how electrical and cold it could be. I have a hunch there’s going to be just as much focus on Aquarius’ polarity – Leo – during the Aquarian Age, so the potential of complete disconnect and what transhumanism looks like will still carry with it tremendous qualities of the heart and warmth that come from Leo and the Sun.

Sounds good to me! To be able to download my brain into a computer and then upload it back into a perfect body, infinitely replaceable, intelligence undying, physical age irrelevant! To be free of all the threats of the flesh, immortal, and yet have all the benefits of the flesh.
If there is a definition of heaven, that’s it!

My nodal axis is Leo SN and Aquarius NN, and as I mature in age and wisdom I am learning more and more about the beauty of the transpersonal nature of Aquarius. My Moon Pluto conjunction also conjuncts my Leo South Node so it hasn’t been an easy trip, but the ascension into a transformational human is an incredible experience. I agree with Charles – there is a beauty in perfection but like Shane, the darker side of the technological coldness can be somewhat frightening. As with everything else in astrology, we are sure to see both the dark and the light sides of this evolution.

One benefit of the transhunmanist change-over would be the passive rejection of all phantoms, like religion, astrology, and the idea of the Age of Aquarius.
Transhumanism will work solely because we are made of bits of matter and the forces operating between them: we have _no_ inherent nature, but we can make of ourselves what we want (and is possible) by being clever enough. Any other way of looking at the universe, in particular the sort of Platonic idealism and magical thinking prevalent in the world, is a trap.

I don’t think that this transhumanist idea is going to be the majority. There is quite a bit of fallacy here. We may move further way from the Divine if we take this route. There is still the false belief that knowledge that is something outside of ourselves. That we are limited beings with no Divine Connection. We are beings of God with infinite consciousness! All that we need to know is inside of us! We can tap into infinite realms of understanding, consciousness and knowingness by recognizing our Divine perfection that already exists! The answer is not going to be new technology, it will be recognition of our own divine selves. Technology is only a metaphorical symbolism of what we already are. If only we be willing to deprogram ourselves of the twisted lies that humans have told themselves for ions, we can discover this Truth (Aquarius).

The beginning of the New Age will be over run by the New World Order (Illuminati, Zionist, Freemasons) & humanities lack of interest in preserving true freedom.
