The Moon is very active today.  After forming a challenging square to restless Uranus at 3 am EDT, the Moon harmonized with Chiron and Neptune shortly thereafter which should have smoothed out any rough edges that arose during the night.

The Moon will form a square to the Sun at around 2 pm, and for a few hours prior there is a bit of dissonance between what the conscious mind (Sun) desires and what the emotions (Moon) requires.  We may feel a bit out of sorts until that aspect culminates.

The Moon will be void of course between 1:47 pm and when it enters Capricorn at 5:19 pm.  There is NO need to fear the void of course Moon, as we’ve discussed many times in these pages.  But these times are better suited to activities that don’t require energy for their initiation.

In Capricorn, the Moon is practical and pragmatic.  We are concerned with getting things done now, and less worried about the effects of our actions.  The Moon will form a harmonious sextile to Mars at around 11:30 this evening EDT followed immediately by a trine to Pluto at around midnight, so if you’re up that late (or if you’re in a different time zone) there will be a great focus during these times with an opportunity to accomplish great things.

Also today, Mercury (thoughts and ideas) is moving into position to oppose Saturn (restriction, structure).  With the Moon in Capricorn, Saturn’s sign, we are already inspired to find more discipline in our life and work a little harder.  However, Saturn can inspire negative thinking when aspected to Mercury, so watch out for that.  The exact opposition will take place around midnight along with the nice Moon aspects, so if you have work or a planning project to do, that would be a great time!
