Lamar Odom is in Retrograde

posted by Lynn Hayes | 3:46pm Tuesday March 10, 2009

I love this… Coach Phil Jackson of the LA Lakers has used the retrograde turn of Venus last Odom.jpgweek to explain Lamar Odom’s poor performance:

At a loss for a conventional explanation for the inconsistencies that have defined Lamar Odom’s career, Coach Phil Jackson turned to astrology Monday to account for his mercurial forward’s mini-slump.

“More than anything else, Lamar is affected by the astrological sequences, and I know that Venus went into retrograde the other day,” Jackson deadpanned. “All of a sudden he started shooting his free throws with a dip and a bend, and it was like, where did that come out of? We tried to get him back on the straight and narrow in practice.”

I never realized Phil Jackson was an astrology aficionado, but I love that so many people now are talking about real astrology without shame!

By the way, I snuck a peek at Lamar Odom’s chart (born November 6, 1979, time unknown), and his performance problems stem more from the lineup in Aquarius forming a square to the conjunction of the Sun to Uranus in his chart and causing some surprising impulses that are throwing him off balance, than from Venus turning retrograde.
