Yesterday’s Moon/Venus conjunction made quite a display!  (Photo from Spaceweather.) I didn’t put up a Skywatch for today, but tomorrow the Moon is quite busy again AND is a New Moon in Taurus.

Venus has entered Aries, and our concerns have become more personal and more individual.  This will color all of our relationships until early May.  With Venus and Mars both in Aries, and still within range of a conjunction at this point, there is a sharp focus on the satisfaction of our own desires. This isn’?t a bad thing, but understanding that this dynamic is in play will help us to manage our relationships in case problems arise as a result.

Meanwhile, the Moon harmonizes tomorrow with the triple conjunction of Chiron, Jupiter and Neptune which as Joseph mentioned in the comments will not occur again until 2099.  This is a very rare event, and you can read more about it on my website here.  The Moon affects our moods and our emotions, and tomorrow we will be more open to the transformational effect that the triple conjunction has brought to bear on our spiritual and emotional frameworks.

Mercury forms a harmonious sextile to Uranus which is in effect all day but peaks at around 3:30 pm EDT.  We are flooded with new ideas and excitement about creative possibilities now, and a great deal of creativity is unleashed.

All of this is part of the Taurus New Moon which occurs tomorrow at 11:23 pm EDT.  New Moons, when the Sun conjuncts the Moon and the conscious Will (Sun) fuses with the emotional instincts (Moon), are times of new beginnings.  In Taurus there is a sense of fertility, of comfort, of a sense of place and a dislike of change.

The Taurus New Moon occurs on April 24th at 11:23 pm EDT, when the Moon and Sun conjunct in the sign of Taurus. Taurus is the Empress, the mother goddess Gaia. Under the influence of Taurus, we cherish the bounty of earth and the inherent pleasure of living life in a body. New Moons, occurring when the Sun and Moon fuse and begin the lunar cycle anew, are times of new beginnings and offer a new potentiality. This New Moon is trine Pluto and also Ceres, a Grand Trine of creating a solid and grounded life that is full of the bounty that life on Earth has to offer. Mercury is sextile Uranus today, flooding our minds (Mercury) with new ideas (Uranus) to help make it happen.
However, the Sun and Moon are nearly exactly square (within ten minutes) to the Nodes of the Moon that act as signposts to the evolution of the soul. This suggests that this New Moon is critical to our progress. There are things that we feel we haven?t completed, that we need to go back to, but the time for going back is past now. It?s time to move forward ? to let go of what remains unfinished and begin anew.
The next few days may be somewhat challenging, with a challenging square from Mercury to the triple conjunction on the 25th. The square to Chiron may force us to look clearly (Mercury) at our old wounds as they arise (Chiron), and this combination can also make communications with others more emotional and therefore more difficult. The square to Neptune can confuse the issues and lead to misunderstandings. This is exacerbated by the fact that Mercury will be turning retrograde on May 8 and is entering the shadow of its retrograde period when it begins to slow down in preparation for the change of direction. For a week or so, tread lightly and expect that communication may be difficult.
During this time Mars is also approaching a challenging square to Pluto which will culminate on April 26. This is a period where there is a great deal of energy unleashed. This poses the potential for power conflicts and other types of battles, and it is a time when we can feel very angry, particularly if Mars and Pluto are aspecting planets in our own chart. Physical activity and vigorous exercise can help us to channel this energy so that we can utilize it in more constructive ways.

Neptune in Pisces and the question of reality
Neptune just slipped back into Pisces where it will remain until 2025.  Neptune's role in the astrological pantheon is to cause us to question where the physical world ends and a more transcendent reality begins.  It therefore rules our spiritual experience, but it can also be confusing and induce
