by Lynn HayesThe astrological sign of Aquarius rules invention, innovation, and ideas that blow our traditional ways of thinking out of the water, and as we move into the Age of Aquarius our very conception of reality will continue to morph...
The general gist of this theory matches my experiences of and study of shamanism. Joseph Campbell also held parts of this view see "The Inner Reaches of Outer Space". Maybe the scientists will catch up someday ;-)

It seems that a good deal of Lanza's theory matches the theories and beliefs contained in a treatise called "Stalking the Wild Pendulum" a wonderfully insightful book, long out of print but sometimes available at Amazon, by Itzhak "Ben " Bentov. He artfully explores the mechanics of consciousness in a fascinating work penned well before there was an appreciation or understanding of the nature of reality.
Moreover Bentov did so with grace and humor and couched his explanations within relatively simple analogies so that the concepts are accessible to a wide spectrum of readers. In an interview before his untimely death in 1979 he stated: “I am attempting in this book to build a model of the universe that will satisfy the need for a comprehensive picture of ‘what our existence is all about." Bentov proceeds to also explain psychic phenomena and altered states of consciousness and then describes the quantity and quality of consciousness; that he perceives as evolving to a holy ‘absolute’ which he theorizes is the source of all consciousness. It is an utterly fascinating work that intertwines the tenets of quantum mechanics while exponentially expounding on the Bell model to propose an elegant, counter-conceptual model of the universe. Certainly a book worth a read, if not several, in order to grasp the myriad of proposed theories.

I was pondering yesterday wondering what was happening to those of us born with the Pluto/Jupiter conjunction at 27° Leo in 1955/56 and there's your post. Since March new portals opened up with connections made then downloaded. The energy does indeed feel like a halo. The triple conjunction is exactly opposing this Pluto/Jupiter Leo conjunction at the mid-heaven in my chart. Yahoo for reality shifts, deeper understanding, healing and aha's...
Looking forward to hearing you on the radio...shine brightly

Don't know what he is talking about, but it's nothing but piscean escapism. Things don't exist except in our minds? Even if that is true, how is it going to help humanity out of its problems? There is nothing aquarian about it, mind you.
Moreover, it's a crime to divert the attention of people from more pressing issues with mumbo jumbo that accomplishes absolutely nothing.
Yes, even Einstein's relativity theory sounded rubbish to me too, and Einstein would agree, after the atom bomb was unleashed, thanks to his genius. These theories do more harm than good.

Chiron, thank you for that information about Bentov's book. I found it on Amazon for $2.50 and ordered it.
And Michelle, thanks for the mention about the Pluto/Jupiter conjunction as well. I have had a few clients lately with this in their charts and the transit of the triple conjunction over these points has been phenomenal.
Your Name (if that IS your real name), I completely disagree. If the Universe is a product of our consciousness, and we are dreaming the reality, then we can change it and we are no longer victims of circumstance. And for me, that is the ultimate wisdom.
What is Piscean is the mist of illusion that humanity has been under for the past 2000 years where religion has had a chokehold on human behavior. Any evidence that supports the idea that we create our reality is to me a huge improvement.

Dear Lynn I wonder if I could ask you a question re: Asperger's & fixed thinking
I have a relative who died suddenly (bday 12.12.66 @3.20am Chesterfield England) on 2.1.08 early & he was v depressed and was thought to have asperger's (mild autism). His dad who is a doctor also thinks his son has it (bday 19.1.02 London England) but his widow (27.9.66 Uganda)who is fixed in her thinking, judgemental, insecure, controlling and alienating refuses to discuss it. She has got an opinion from two of her general pediatric friends that he doesn''t have it, but it is well known that asperger's needs an expert referral within a multidisciplinary team for a gold standard diagnosis. Do you think that she will ever soften in her attitude and allow him to get a proper diagnosis or will her dictatorial attitude remain for life? Thank you so much.

The Size and Shape of the Universe
The first systematic theory of the size and shape of the universe that attempted to explain observed data was constructed by Ptolemy in the 2d cent. In this theory the solar system was thought to be the entire universe, with the earth at its center and the distant stars located just beyond the farthest planet. This belief was held until the 16th cent., when Copernicus advanced the idea that the sun, rather than the earth, is at the center of the system and that the stars are at very great distances compared to the planets. During the first part of the 20th cent., astronomers discovered that the sun is only one of billions of stars in the Milky Way galaxy and is located far from the galactic center.
Estimates of the size of the universe have been refined as methods of measuring galactic and extragalactic distances have improved. Close stellar distances were at first found by measuring a star's trigonometric parallax. A more powerful contemporary method is to analyze the light reaching the earth from an object by means of a spectroscope; the distance of a very faint object can be estimated by comparing its apparent brightness to those of similar objects at known distances. Another method depends on the fact that the universe as a whole appears to be expanding, as indicated by red shifts (see Doppler effect) in the spectral lines of distant galaxies. Hubble's law makes it possible to estimate their distances from the speed with which they are rushing away from the earth. At present the universe is believed to be at least 10 billion light-years in diameter. One problem with estimating the size of the universe is that space itself (or more properly, space-time) may be curved, as held by the general theory of relativity. This curvature would affect measurements of distance based on the passage of light through space from objects as far away as 5 billion light-years or more.

Chiron, wishing things (and people) away isn't going to work anymore, as you and the rest of the world will see very soon.
Drastic changes that will make everyione face REAlITY. And stop dreaming.
And thank God it's happening. It's been a long time, but it is finally happening.
This is the new age.
(Lynn, facing reality is the only way a new age can come about. I disagree with you.)

Be careful what you wish for, you just may find that your wish is granted. Indeed we are entering an epoch where much turmoil will unfold. Whether any particular philosophy helps or hurts is rather academic. As Lynn points out, organized religion has done more damage, killed more human beings, caused more wars, reined more destruction, stifled more free thought than any theory of Einstein or postulation on quantum mechanics ever has. Talk about mumbo jumbo. The hardships to come will peel off the whole like layers of an onion peeled back to the core. Each layer bringing changes in perspective and with them the disassembling of structures, belief systems, and social communities. By the conclusion of the cycle, we will all, those who remain, wish for a state of blissful dreams.
BTW lynn, enjoy the book, it is fascinating to say the least.

I'm not at all worried about the "hardships to come". I'm not invested in the system at all. As long as I can eat I will be happy. So much for debt and western material angst... I've left that prison for good. And anyway I'm confident we can create a new future and I can be part of it. This is a comfortable time for people like me or having similar outlook.

Hi Luca, I don't see any particular signatures for autistic-spectrum disorders in the chart of your relative who died back in 2008 but there were definitely signatures for depression. The Uranus/Pluto conjunction opposed Saturn, and both ends of that opposition formed a square to his Sun and Moon (he was born under a New Moon so he was rather fresh at these kinds of experiences). Sun and Moon both in Sagittarius, where there is difficulty dealing with the kind of darkness you have to walk through when you have this heavy Saturn/Pluto influence, and the presence of Uranus would have made it difficult to concentrate.
The younger child does have a chart that looks more like asperger's-type issues, with lots of Aquarius. Intuitively I feel that the mother doesn't want to deal with the possibility that there could be problems, she has not really recovered from her husband's death. If her son starts to exhibit problems that need professional help I am certain that she will come around, but until then it's her choice and the rest of you just have to live with it. His chart is VERY different than the father, and there's no need to fear that the same thing will happen.
