Top Eight planetary events of the week: June 28-July 4, 2009

posted by Lynn Hayes | 11:59am Sunday June 28, 2009

by Lynn Hayes.  This is written for Eastern time zone – please adjust accordingly for your own part of the world.  You can see the positions of today’s planets here

1.  Uranus turns retrograde on Wednesday.  Now there are five retrograde planets including Chiron, so watch for things to require a little more “doing over” than usual.

2.  Also on Wednesday, Venus forms a square to Chiron and Neptune, creating some challenge in our relationships.

3.  As if Wednesday wasn’t intense enough, Mercury in Gemini squares Uranus.  Any meetings scheduled on Wednesday could get a little disruptive.  This is a great time to learn new things or engage with technology.

4.  However, a trine from Mercury to Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune will help us to assimilate any difficulties that come up so that we can discuss them with others.

5 and 6.  Late Wednesday and early Thursday, Venus forms a square to Jupiter and a sextile to Uranus.  We are a little freer now and more able to move past conflicts of the previous few days.

7.  Mercury enters Cancer on Friday.  The mind is more sensitive now and communication can become more reactive.  We move away from the intellectual curiosity of Gemini into the emotional attachment of Cancer and become more concerned about how our thoughts affect others.

8.  Mercury opposes Pluto Saturday morning.  This can bring a sharpened focus to work that requires a mental focus, but it can also indicate a tendency to obsess.

Sunday inspiration: Trusting the future
Astrologers have a reputation, which we ourselves and our forbears have propagated, of being able to foretell the future.  If you run a Google search for "Can astrology predict the future," the very first article is from a well-known astrology site titled "Predicting the future with astrology."

Neptune in Pisces and the question of reality
Neptune just slipped back into Pisces where it will remain until 2025.  Neptune's role in the astrological pantheon is to cause us to question where the physical world ends and a more transcendent reality begins.  It therefore rules our spiritual experience, but it can also be confusing and induce

The Moon will be full in Leo on February 7th at 4:54 pm Est/9:54 pm GMT.  The Full Moon is the peak of the lunar cycle - it's a time when our goals and aspirations reach fulfillment as we prepare for the waning cycle during which we are generally asked to let go of something tha

Sunday inspiration: The Great Nest of Being

Congrats Lynn on the radio show. Would love to hear it live, but I have other plans at 4 a.m. in Hawaii. ;)
Glad you posted the weekly forecast. Someday the Astro forecast may get as much attention as the Weather forecast. Sure would be a valuable aid for those in roles of decision making.
Adding to your forecast post: Venus/Mars are in square aspect most of the week to Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron. Venus moves into Gemini on Saturday. Wednesday is definitely a “stay out of emotional drama” day as the Scorpio Moon adds quite a punch to everything else you posted.

Thanks Joseph – Venus actually moves into Gemini on Sunday, here anyway. Where you are it’s probably late Saturday.
The Daily Skywatch took so much time I just couldn’t keep it up. I’m thinking about offering it by subscription, would there be any takers at a modest monthly fee?

This is quite an eventful period for me. Uranus is turning retrograde in my 4th House in Paisces. Mercury is entering in my 8th House and Sun & Jupiter sign trining to transitting Uranus retrograde.
I would need to take help from my stellium in Leo in the 9th House during Mercury in Gemini.
I am expecting some important revelations during this period.

I’m very interested (and really need) a Daily Skywatch.
Accessing your site is the first thing I do in the morning,
and I really don’t enjoy the computer.

I’m interested in knowing what the planetary aspects were on 6/25/09, the day Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson died.

The Uranus has my job situation changing by the hour. I am working for multiple agencies and the juggling is getting out of control.

Lynn,
I’m curious as to whether all these outer retrograde planets will have a negative impact on the already slow real estate market.

I’m curious about that too, Angela. Summer is usually slower anyway but when planets are retrograde people tend to look backwards rather than forwards. I think we may have a change of perception when Uranus changes direction that could bring some positive energy but as long as the Big Three (Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune) are transiting together into August it will be difficult to predict what might happen. This is exhilarating for some people who are having a harmonious transit of the three, and challenging for those experiencing a square or opposition from them.

Lynn: I agree w/Gayle re. Farrah Fawcett’s chart on the day she passed over.
@ Gayle — Lynn did a great analysis of Micheal Jackson’s chart. See list of previous posts.
