You’ll be hearing a lot more about this planetary event over the next few months and years. Ray Merriman is calling the event the “Cardinal Climax,” and astrologer Gary Caton in this
recent article in The Mountain Astrologer is calling it the “Cardinal Crisis.” This is an alignment of planets in cardinal signs that will continue to create change in our inner and outer worlds. The cardinal signs are the signs of action, and with various planets conflicting with each other in cardinal signs there will be a great deal of energy for change.
It’s easy to become afraid when we know something big is coming, but it’s wise not to let fear take over. Change can be exhilarating and joyful just as easily as difficult. This week Mars in Cancer is opposite Pluto in the sky, and although I expected major flareups in the news that has not occurred. Nor did it occur in my own life, despite the fact that this planetary combination directly affects Mars in my own chart. Instead, there has been a tremendous amount of energy that has been relatively easy to manage and we’re seeing that in the global arena as well.
I’ve laid out a scenario of what is likely to happen over the next few years in my radio show a few weeks back and you may want to
take a listen if you haven’t already heard it. I’ll be writing a great deal more on this topic over the next few months, especially as Saturn moves into Libra in late October and begins to form a square to Pluto.
Meanwhile, we are working with Saturn/Uranus and the force of resistance to change. This is the key factor that we will be faced with over the next few weeks.

I wish it were possible to transcribe podcasts. Maybe some of the highlights could be included in a text post as time permits?

I’ll be writing a longer article, Joe, and continuing to post as the “situation on the ground changes.” So no worries.

Hi Lynn. I suspect you’ll recall I’m the IM’er who posted the astrological humor to your show a few weeks back. I also posted my interest in being a contributor with my Gemini wit to try to offset all these heavy transits. I believe that when you wear a raincoat, you can walk through the raindrops and not get wet! Humor is my umbrella!!! As example of my How many (xxx) does it take to change a lightbulb, let’s do you as a Libran. So, how many Librans does it take? A Libran would reply, “Well, I could do it, unless of course you’d prefer to do it, but you look sort of busy right now. What do you want to do?” L-O-L! I’m going away myself this week to mystical beautiful Sedona Arizona. Let me know if I could become a contributor with the tonic I wish to offer.

I’m really happy about the Cardinal Climax. I’m hoping for a big shakeup. Anything less would be disappointing. Actually, if anything my fear is that nothing much will change.

OMG everything seems to be in upheavel! Pluto has been doing a number on me for years, like about a dozen years now- hope it ends soon!

I’M WAITING, I’M WAITING!! I was hoping for BIG CHANGE after the election. I must admit I’m not very patient. I’ll try to be more patient at this point.

This Libra couldn’t possibly be any more grateful to the cosmos for the huge dosage of energy she’s receiving… Thank you, Cardinal Climax. And Amen and stuff.

I’m a NC girl and am watching things implode around me regarding political corruption on every kind of level. Of course, it’s just a peek at a slide under microscope given what is happening across the world. Am hoping for better times to come.

Hi Lynn,
I have Venus @ 29 Gemini conjunct Mercury @ 0 Cancer and Moon @ 5 Cancer. I was expecting a tsunami to hit me this week, but everything is pretty quite here. Of course i will still have to deal with the long term ramifications of the Pluto/Uranus/Saturn meeting. I am slightly anxious, but not (yet) scared…

Oh I forgot to mention that i also have Pluto at 29 Virgo.

Thanks all for your comments. These astrological cycles are really like weather occurrences, and astrologers are like meteorologists. Sometimes a hurricane will come and do nothing other than clean the air and provide much needed rain. Other times they spin off tornados. Much of this depends on what is needed in our individual lives and in the world at large.

Dear Youn Name 9-1-09 You didn’t give us any info on which to chart astrology. This site is wired to that. A reading of your chart might help you decide what to focus on as we come out of this planetary knot time. :>)77
