Astrological Musings

Astrological Musings Radio, Sunday morning 10 EDT

posted by Lynn Hayes | 7:06am Sunday September 27, 2009

On the show this morning I’ll be talking about the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, and the concept of atonement in the Judeo-Christian moral code.  I will get a bit controversial and suggest that the concept of expiation of our sins, atonement and forgiveness have not seemed to result in improved human beings and perhaps instead we should focus on healing and transformation.

This ties in nicely with the ongoing conjunction of Chiron and Neptune, since Neptune addresses the question of martyrdom and expiation of our sins through a third party, and Chiron facilitates the healing process by forcing us to face up to our own stuff and atone for it in a deep way that encourages transformation.
Use the player below to listen during the show (10-11) or to listen to the archive later.  You can also subscribe to the feed or to the podcast in Itunes.  If you are an Itunes member, please drop by and rate the show or write a review!
I’ll be taking calls from new callers about halfway through the show so you can ask questions about your own chart if you haven’t already done so.  The call-in number (only while the show is live between 10-11 am EDT Sunday) is 646-478-5731.

Neptune in Pisces and the question of reality
Neptune just slipped back into Pisces where it will remain until 2025.  Neptune's role in the astrological pantheon is to cause us to question where the physical world ends and a more transcendent reality begins.  It therefore rules our spiritual experience, but it can also be confusing and induce
