Astrology and the Kaiser Healthcare Poll

Now this is interesting and mirrors what I suspected was the case.  The Kaiser Family Foundation has published new poll numbers with answers to two questions:
  1. It’s more important than ever now to tackle the problem of healthcare; or
  2. We can’t afford to tackle healthcare now.
The first opposition of Uranus (change) to Saturn (not change) occurred on November 3, election day.  At that time there was the widest disparity of opinions on this subject.  The second phase of the cycle occurred in February, and you can see the divergence at that point.  Chiron and Neptune were also conjunct at that time.
The second phase of the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune conjunction occurred at the end of May, and at that point healing and healthcare (Chiron) evidently became a greater concern for the public as the gap in public opinion began to shrink, despite the violent town hall meetings that occured this summer.  By August the gap was at its smallest, diverging again in September with the opposition of Saturn and Uranus.
It will be interesting to see what will happen over the next few months as Saturn enters Libra and begins to square Pluto.  I suspect that there will be a greater desire to agree and form alliances under the Libra influence, and the square to Pluto could bestow a greater sense of impending danger which needs to be addressed.

Neptune in Pisces and the question of reality
Neptune just slipped back into Pisces where it will remain until 2025.  Neptune's role in the astrological pantheon is to cause us to question where the physical world ends and a more transcendent reality begins.  It therefore rules our spiritual experience, but it can also be confusing and induce

This will be interesting… Isn’t Saturn exalted in Libra?

I saw a politician on MSNBC stressing that insurance profits have exceeded 428%. This was alarming. I sense that as far as heath care reform goes we have hit the point of no return. The real problem is the trump card the hospitals and insurance companies hold: Throwing the burden on us. I have noticed in the last two years that after I pay what I am required at the doctors office, I get additional bills sent to my house, totally unexpected. When I complain I get: “The insurance refused to pay for that one test”. So they send me the bill. I am afraid this could happen to a greater degree, but I hope it doesn’t.

Hi, Lynn,
I was wondering about Saturn in Libra and the problems with Pluto. My birthdate is 1-4-1951, at 7:40 p.m. in Pittsburgh, PA. I have had my birthchart done and I was born with Saturn in Libra in my 2nd house, and Pluto in Leo in my 1st house. Now that Pluto is in Capricorn, and Saturn will be returning to Libra, should I expect some serious and difficult experiences?? I also have Fibromyalgia, which has been challenging. Thanks for any answers you can give to me!! I love your
Astrological Musings!! I just started getting them, and you’re so knowlegable about astrology that it astounds me.
Sincerely,
Dianne

I so agree with you MWF – I wrote a post a week or two ago about this very thing. Healthcare reform is not just better access to health insurance. And you know, for people like me with high deductibles – I can’t even find out what a procedure costs. You have to have it first and then you find out what it costs depending on your insurance. That is just insane.

Thanks Dianne! ::blush:: But about your chart… Pluto is actually rising in you chart, so you are no stranger to intense experiences in your life. Pluto is opposite Mars which can lead to what I call a “Mars Problem,” where our drives and desires are not expressed fully or are blocked by internal and external forces. This leads to a buildup of that Mars aggressive energy that can implode in the body leading to immune system disorders like fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome. You have three planets in Capricorn in you chart including the Sun. You are about to have your second Saturn return which may cause you to feel that you are under quite a bit of pressure, but you have already been through the first phase of Pluto to Saturn so I suspect there is some change happening for you already.
