I know we can't do anything about it, but it still makes me sad.

I wonder what will be found… and if we'll ever know about it.

Thanks for sharing,
Sue

Lynn, what location on Earth are you using to draw up this chart?

Jeffrey, this is a really good question. First of all, I used Florida but upon deeper reading I see that the launch came from California, but then we would be looking at the launch date and not the landing date. I don't suppose we can use Earth latitude and longitude or a geocentric chart for the arrival on the Moon except for our own experience of this event.

We can't stop the war, we can't stop world hunger, we can't stop the drugs from infiltrating our neighborhoods; but we can spend time & money shooting the moon to look for something that may or may not exist. I believe in technology but where will we draw the line. This is truly heart-breaking.

I am really glad you wrote this. It helped with the sadness and anxiety I was feeling. Because the full moon has such an impact on our oceans and bodies, I was wondering what sort of impact this will have on both the oceans and our bodies? Akayla

I am glad for this interpretation but still saddened. Why does MANkind and especially the US have to bomb bomb bomb everything? Deranged minds found deranged plans.

It's heart breaking that we spend money on science and not social problems that have existed since the dawn of humanity? May I humbly suggest you reexamine that idea?

I so agree with this question about the money being expended here and it brings up a lot of unanswerable questions.

The sheer arrogance of it. Who gave them permission?

Science is all about the search for things that may or may not exist. You can argue that this particular instance or the search isn't worth it of course, but otherwise you're pretty much arguing with the entire process. And there are a lot worse explosions occurring on earth (nuclear testing etc). Saying we shouldn't do science because there are poor people, drugs and wars makes no sense to me. To me it's like saying I shouldn't live in a house because some people can't afford to have one. We sent people to the moon once, and I don't think it was a waste of money.

If this is true then I'm joining the "Don't bomb the moon" people this instant.

Someone please tell me: where are all the smart people?

Further more, the more I think about this, the angrier I become, the myan Indians, the revelations of the world destructions in 2010,this idoit government isn't helping the situation..The old ancients and Gods and Indians are right..it will be man who destroys this world....Not the Gods/Goddess.....however, as far as I'm concerned, they would have EVERY right! Isn't anything held precious anymore?Anyone involved with such destruction deserves what they get!what is wrong with the people in this world?Do they Not realize that slamming the moon with a massive force will be upsetting Mother Earths balance? Did it ever occur to these hair brained idiots that storms, tidal waves and nature will be so thrown out of balance? what were they thinking!!!!!!!!!

Much ado about nothing. Next thing to be outraged about is coming to the latest news outlet... so don't worry.

I seriously hate the idea, let alone the late announcement of NASA crashing a rocket into the moon. Man is surely beyond himself. Totally consumed with greed, power and control. It is also a testament to the fact that we are running out of water. This latest excuse for the ensuing damage makes me believe more and more about the theories surrounding the 2012 Orion Prophesy. I can see it now. Time for that 90-day food supply anyone?

Perhaps this is just an excuse that NASA expects the public to buy (and it seems to be working, no offense), but maybe the true intention is destroying a satellite that the U.S. does not want anyone to get their hands on...so crash it on the moon....nothing to recover, problem solved. Just a handful of activists crying foul. The furor will die down eventually and it can all be swept under the rug, because who really cares if there is water on the moon? Are we planning to colonize the moon? I doubt it.

My question is: could there be any real repercussion in bombing the planet in space ?
