The joke where I'm from is to feign ignorance that it's illegal because it is so prevalent as to be commonplace. "It's illegal, really? You mean like being 5mph over the speed limit?". It is everywhere, and it's relatively cheap. Having it be illegal only clogs the prison system with non violent offenders.

Dear Lynn,
I have had Fibromyalgia since 1995, and have been disabled by its effects on my health. I take supplements, have been to hundreds of MD's, and also see a chiropractor, acupuncturist, etc. each week. I also meditate, and have been a student of metaphysics for most of my life. My birthdate is 1-4-1951 in Pittsburgh, PA, at 7:40 p.m. I've had my birthchart done, and have found it to be tremendously helpful. I have smoked marijuana in the evenings, to help me sleep, since that's also one of the big problems with having Fibromyalgia; sleep disorders. Only the marijuana has helped me sleep through the night!! I've had prescriptions, and take melatonin, and nothing has helped me like pot! I think it's "High time" to legalize marijuana and regulate it like alcohol, which I think is a much "harder" drug. I was really happy to read this, as our government could use hemp for almost everything and could also use the money from taxing and regulating the sale of pot, like it does alcohol. I just started reading your blog and you amaze me with your knowledge of astrology! I sent you an email regarding Pluto in Capricorn, since Pluto is in my 1st house, and my Sun is in Capricorn and you Answered me!!! That impressed me so much, and every time I read anything you've written, I Learn something! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us!
Sincerely,
Dianne

I'm all for legalizing it for medicinal purposes. Btw, a good friend of mine had a 15 year battle with CFS and Fibromyalgia and was also diagnosed with Epstein-Barr virus till I sent her an article from www.naturalnews.com about Vitamin D deficiency and how it causes pain. She started taking Vitamin D and two weeks later had no more pain. Hasn't since either.

Valid medicinal value, it’s a victimless crime, the War on Drugs WAY too costly, too many arrests for simple possession, tax it and use the money to pay for health insurance and to reduce the deficit. Need I say more?
Woodstock Universe supports legalization of Marijuana for a number of reasons. Check them out and vote in our poll "Should marijuana be legalized?" at http://woodstockuniverse.com
Current poll results: 96% for legalization and 4% opposed. Add your vote. Poll runs through October.

One of the strongest urges of humankind is to alter one's consciousness. Of COURSE marijuana should be legal, just like alcohol and coffee are. For those who would protest, would you criminalize vicodin oxy-contin and all those other brain-altering legal drugs you can get with a prescription?

Friends and I have found that when a "pet" is dying of old age, keeping it high on marijuana not only eases its depression but also gives it another reason to keep trying. Don't blow the smoke into its face; blow into its EAR.

In really terms it has already happened. Check out this article for the full story. The current Saturn Uranus opposition is also clearly at work.
