Swine flu – what’s the fuss?

Evidently I’m not the only one asking this question.  If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you know that I’ve been very skeptical of the hysteria surrounding the swine flu which arrived just as Chiron and Neptune were aligning in conjunction.  Chiron rules over matters of health and healing, and Neptune’s domain is mysteries and vaccinations so the rush to find a vaccination for the swine flu was to be expected.  The addition of Jupiter to the mix in the spring resulted in an overblown (Jupiter) fear of this unknown (Neptune) new threat to our health (Chiron).
As I wrote in this earlier post, it’s easy to be suspicious when billions of dollars can be made from a pandemic and now that the spread of the swine flu has proven to be significantly less extensive than first feared, the skepticism is spreading faster than the flu.
Jupiter and Chiron conjoin for the final time in February of 2010 at the height of flu season.  After that time this whole issue will have subsided.

Sunday inspiration: Trusting the future
Astrologers have a reputation, which we ourselves and our forbears have propagated, of being able to foretell the future.  If you run a Google search for "Can astrology predict the future," the very first article is from a well-known astrology site titled "Predicting the future with astrology."

Neptune in Pisces and the question of reality
Neptune just slipped back into Pisces where it will remain until 2025.  Neptune's role in the astrological pantheon is to cause us to question where the physical world ends and a more transcendent reality begins.  It therefore rules our spiritual experience, but it can also be confusing and induce

I am so glad you are reminding us to keep a grip on reality during the media hypnosis. While there are terrible, very real deaths from *something*, the H1N1 panic-demic is becoming increasingly well-documented as a fraud (intentional or not remains to be seen).
I’ve been following the comments of Dr. Joseph Mercola about this, as well as his well-researched back-up documentation. Today’s post is at this site. (Don’t know if posting here lets me use any HTML linking; please forgive me if this comes out looking wonky).
To everyone’s good health and peace of mind.

While I don’t think it’s the mass killer it’s been whipped up to be, it is a nasty strain. I’ve been around a lot of people who’ve caught it and it knocks you down for sure. Only by the grace of whomever have I not caught it myself. Helps that I don’t work in the cube farm anymore.

I had a mild version, a very normal man younger than me died from it. I think it has morphed or changed so many times. If I am right the then getting vaccinated would be useless, but I may be wrong.

I’m not getting my kids vaccinated just because everyone else is. I think there Could be more of a chance for a reaction from either long or short term from the shot than them dying from the swine flu. Last time there was a Swine Flu vaccine it caused Peralasis in some. Most people that died from the Flu had underlying conditions.

I agree that it may have morphed many times over and the vaccine is probably out dated. I have a very close friend that has been in a coma from pneumonia contracted while diagnosed with the H1N1 virus and several young adults and thier children have contacted it. So it is present all over the country with the highest death rates in the 25-40 year old range. It is extremely important that we practice prevention by getting as much sunlight as possible (depending on your skin type); staying hydrated with plenty of water; eating fresh leafy greens, fruits and veggies; using antiviral foods such a garlic, cayenne, ginger, lemon, onion and herbal remedies. If you come down with a severe cold or fever seek medical attention coupled with naturopathic or acupuncture/chinese herbalists. Peace.

A good friend of mine was paralyzed back in 1978 from the vaccine. Just yesterday four people at Duke who had had flu shots died of the flu anyway.

Shouldn’t you be charting the astrological destiny of each individual virus organism before you reach a conclusion? Isn’t that the way astrology “works”?

Kirk, it would indeed be an interesting project to calculate the astrological charts for each virus organism, but that’s assuming the virus actually is made and has a specific birth date and time. In the meantime I am looking at astrological trends and larger cycles that bring in certain experiences for the macrocosm.
