Good point, Lynn; I couldn't agree more ! It seems like a lot of people live their lives with blinders on, doing things that make them miserable -- and then either grumbling endlessly about it or numbing themselves to it -- but I think the real problem is their failure to take daily stock of what's working and what isn't. I think that practicing daily gratitude is a good way to do that, and I find that the elements I want, increase with this practice; and the things that I don't need tend to fall away by themselves. I think it's too daunting for many to take charge and live their best life, so they fall into a rut. Recently, I heard a quote that should change one's mind about staying in one though, and it goes like this " The only difference between a rut and a grave are their dimensions ". Makes ya think, huh ?
Love your blog and your show, I even called in before in September.
Keep up the good work !
Thanks, Lynn, a timely reminder to "pull focus" as they say in the movie industry, to step back and let events unfold without grasping at every twig that passes by on the river of daily existence.
I love the video musings, so nice to live in an age where you can speak and we can hear it moments later!
I love video blogs. Please do more of these!
LOVE the video format. Can't wait for MORE!!!!
Dear Lynn,
I only know you as a local person. Recently I connected with you on facebook for Lynn's skywatch and I am grateful for your insight blog. I too have been letting go of people and situations in my life. As, you said, I felt like it was a good thing but a little painful. I have been reading Defying Gravity these past 3 weeks and the underlying theme is that the reason part of the mind is not where healing takes place. But the right brain, our creative part is the place where we know what we want. And, sometimes the right brain knowing, does not make (left brain) sense. I am practicing using my right brain and trusting it.
SOmetimes just hearing the person's voice with the message is such a comfort.
Thank you for capturing A Moment with Lynn on your blog today.
