Sunday inspiration: Trusting the future
Astrologers have a reputation, which we ourselves and our forbears have propagated, of being able to foretell the future. If you run a Google search for "Can astrology predict the future," the very first article is from a well-known astrology site titled "Predicting the future with astrology."

Neptune in Pisces and the question of reality
Neptune just slipped back into Pisces where it will remain until 2025. Neptune's role in the astrological pantheon is to cause us to question where the physical world ends and a more transcendent reality begins. It therefore rules our spiritual experience, but it can also be confusing and induce

Leo Full Moon, February 7 2012
art by Dave Archer. The Moon will be full in Leo on February 7th at 4:54 pm Est/9:54 pm GMT. The Full Moon is the peak of the lunar cycle - it's a time when our goals and aspirations reach fulfillment as we prepare for the waning cycle during which we are generally asked to let go of something tha

Sunday inspiration: The Great Nest of Being
"Whenever we moderns pause for a moment, and enter the silence, and listen very carefully, the glimmer of our deepest nature begins to shine forth, and we are introduced to the mysteries of the deep, the call of the within, the infinite radiance of a splendor that time and space forgot - we are intr

The trouble with Demi Moore
The troubled actress Demi Moore has been in the news lately after she was hospitalized for what appears to be a combination of prescription drugs, nitrous oxide and alcohol. While her behavior has been more erratic since her separation from third husband Ashton Kutcher, Demi has a long history of

The other thing that I have observed in this generation is the increase of plastic surgery, and the need to be in a gym. This generation is very conscious of their body image.

My parents are both at the early end of this age range and they’ve become fanatical about exercise in the last several years. One or two hours or more on an exercise bike or walking around a track or strength training. I’m actually pretty glad that they’re taking their health seriously since I hope it will keep them around and healthy longer. I know they do have some associated aches and pains connected to exercising the wrong way but they’ve gotten some guidance on how to do it right. My mom looks better than she did 20 years ago.

I’m assuming that towards the end of that period that Pluto was moving in and out of Virgo as I was born 3 Feb 59 and Pluto was at 3 Virgo in my natal chart.
While I can associate with the back and neck problems I have always put that down to the fact that I am very tall. And in all other respects I’m not aware of any other mobility problems.
There may be an overlap but I am more towards the service to others and making things better for everyone around me.
My sister was born 29 June 61 and Pluto is at 5 Virgo so we’re both at the beginning of Pluto’s transit of Virgo.

Just realised that 4 of my friends are from the Pluto in Leo generation from 1943 to 1955 and none have them have particular disabilities or mobility problems. All have age related aches and pains but nothing that is debilitating.

I have to say that I am of the Baby Boomer age, but I have lower back problems due to my ageing dog that cannot walk up the stairs. I also been on disability because of lung disease due to 9/11. I am here in New York. I exercise about 3x a week, so I resent this analysis of ego with the Pluto in Leo Generation. By the way, I am involved in healing, so I utilize energy modalities in my agenda to heal my back pains. Do not generalize in this way. besides if i did not use the gym I would go crazy because of the opposition of Uranus and Chiron…

I was born Aug 2,1942 at 11:40 pm in Chicago and have Pluto in my Leo Sun sign. I am 67 so you need to expand the disabilities thing past the ages you list. I had Rhuematic fever at age 4 1/2 and became epileptic from it plus have heart disease. I was later in 6/6/66 in an auto accident that killed my husband. It left me horribly injured. Had 11 operations to give me back my eyesight and a face. Plus other broken bones. I have been on disability since 1986. That, plus other things like poverty and family problems have left me very depressed and at the point of giving up hope. Everyone who knows me say I have the most hard luck story they ever heard of. It has to be more then just Pluto in my sun sign that has done all this.

Hmmm!! as a matter of fact since I do astrology, there are quite of few friends and acquaintances that i know with pluto in virgo. Some of them have chronic fatigue syndrome and other physical
digestive problems. Fibromylgia has become a big topic with individuals born in the 60′s. I am working with them using reiki, mwah with the pluto in leo, who is so narsacistic. Give me a break…..

Lynn -
don’t you think it’s just that my generation is aging? I myself have no mobility issues. Work out – but nowhere near as much as I need to (else I wouldn’t be 30 lbs overweight, sigh). I think a more apt comparison would be to previous generations as they hit their 60s. Just sayin…..

Diane, the point of the article is that the baby boomers (that’s me too, BTW) have more mobility issues than the generation just before them. That’s what surprised the researchers.

Watery Skipper, as I’m sure you know many of our Pluto in Virgo generation people have Uranus conjunct Pluto and for many in the mid-60s Chiron opposes that conjunction. This has been a very difficult combination for the health of these individuals.
Pat, your chart does show a conjunction of Pluto to your Sun, which can be a challenging aspect for anyone. But you’re right, the problems in your life are caused by more than just this aspect. Someone with the same chart and different circumstances would have had a very different life. But there are also many people who have survived enormous difficulties to go on and live inspirational lives. There are just as many stories of people who are given every gift, and live a life of self-destruction.

I was born in 1959 I have a Pluto in Virgo. I found this title to be a little misleading.

Hooey!! I believe our “baby-boomers” are over-stressed and over weight!
There is a distinct difference between Health and Fitness.
We are a dieting society and over 66% of our country are considered obese (30% or more body fat)-at least the last time I checked the statistic… maybe more now.
Obesity costs 300,000 deaths/yr, $100 billion in health care costs, $4 billion in lost wages.
80% of health care system is used by people that are already sick and 80% of those are considered obese.
8 out of 10 of the top killers in America could be prevented with proper nutrition and exercise.
It pains me to see anything like this that would discourage people who need to get up and MOVE!!
Exercise is NOT the culprit here!!!!!
