Astrological Musings

On vacation

posted by Lynn Hayes

I’m leaving today for a long anticipated trip to England!  We’ll be in London and then traveling through the magical area of Glastonbury and then Cornwall. I’ll be meeting my longtime astro friends Kathryn Cassidy and Dharmaruci, which is very exciting!  I’ve pre-posted some new articles and some reposts for you to read while I’m gone, and I’ll also be posting from the road.  Sorry, I won’t be participating in the comments until I return.

Tarot Talk: My Boyfriend Is "The Fool"
Let's talk Tarot: The most incredible thing has been happening lately, and I just have to share. A few weeks ago I was told by an experienced Tarot reader that it's quite common to do a Tarot reading and have the people in your life turn up in the Major Arcana -- and that sometimes the figures on

Real Life with Taurus: Pass the Chocolate
We're deep into Taurus territory now. But with two more weeks to go before the Sun moves into Gemini, let's talk about Taurus -- the bully bull bull. Taurus is known for its extravagance, and also for being chocolate snobs, according to my colleague and fellow writer, Astrologer Maria DeSimone.

Mercury in Taurus: Give Up the Gab
Speak your mind today, because tomorrow it's time to give up the gab. Mercury is a pretty chatty planet -- except when it's in Taurus, as it will be from Wednesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 24. Remember -- Taurus is the most practical and inflexible of zodiac signs, and it's also the slowest.

Pull the Reigns on that Sagittarius Moon
Whoa, Nelly. Today you might need to reign in your horse (or make that your centaur). The Sagittarius Moon is setting us up to get carried away! Whenever the Moon is in fiery Sagittarius we can't help but want to hop on that half-man/half- horse and ride off into the sunset. We dream of faraway p

Let Go! It's a Full Moon in Scorpio
Uh-oh, here we go. It's almost time for that intense Scorpio Full Moon we told you about a few days ago. You know, the one on Saturday, May 5 that is going to rock your relationships and your finances. Tomorrow's Full Moon in Scorpio is definitely worth howling at. It's making an opposition to th

Welcome to the UK. The weather is warmer here than it has been for some time so hopefully you will see England at her best, though it is forecasted to cool a bit this week. Cornwall is lovely, about 400 miles from here in Yorkshire, and you will enjoy Glastonbury. Hope you’re going to Stonehenge and Avebury which are in the vicinity.
In Cornwall there is Tintagel Castle which is supposed to have been the home of the legendary King Arthur. The Eden Project and the hidden Lost Gardens at Heligan are well worth a visit too if you have the time. I’ve no doubt you’ll have lots to see and do.
I look forward to reading how your trip went and what you think of our “green and pleasant land” (from the poem Jerusalem by William Blake). I’m more in the land of the Satanic Mills here. Dharmaruci and Kathryn will know what I mean….lol
