The most entertaining religion news story this week was unquestionably “Boobquake,” a Facebook-fueled joke calling on ladies to respond, um, appropriately to an Iranian Muslim cleric’s recent statement that womens’ immodest attire has been causing the earth’s violent tremors.
Purdue University student/Boobquake mastermind (and atheist) Jennifer McCreight explained the April 26 phenomenon for ABC News.
Apparently, we all survived… except that there WAS an temblor in Taiwan later that day. Oops. Maybe God really does hate cleavage? Then again, no one died… I think it’s safe to keep watching “Dancing with the Stars.”

This has all the markings of something that would happen here in Florida! (so why didn’t someone here think of it?) I foresee Serge Storms & Coleman (from the Tim Dorsey books – excellent funny stories, if you like creative Sociopathic serial killers and drug addled sidemen combined with Florida history) meeting up with one of these Boobquake events outside a well known theme park on Gay Days.

Well, you may be very right about this bubby Iranian cleric. God created the Earth; he also created subduction and plate tectonics at the same time. Let us hope, like so many fundamentalest, he gan read something about the Earth; may bubby hit them in their faces- now that would be tectonic.
Sincerely yours,
J R Dittbrenner
