I’ll have to post an extra Fun Friday tomorrow to make up for all the grim religion news this week, but the plight of Christians in the Middle East is important, especially at this time of year (once again):

God, through Christ, didn’t promise that there would be no problems facing Christians. Thanks to Adam and Eve and to those who reject Christ and follow the Adam/Eve example, adversities will challenge Christians who MUST be patient and endure in Christ.

Some Christians were roughed up in Mumbai India for singing Christmas carols. In that case it was likely the VJP (Hindu Nationalists) pretty disgraceful in any event.

I don’t think attacking Egyptian police helps their cause.
The fact is, there are even bigger problems in the Middle East including, for us, our unwavering support of Israel’s policies of stealing land (we may complain but don’t even slap a wrist) and war crimes against its neighbors. Due to US politics we allow Israel to parasitize us. Patriots would work to get us to disengage from that self-destructive relationship.
And the anti-Christian movement might well be a response to this unfair and foolish behavior on the part of the most Christian of the major powers. Or it might just be religious fundamentalism, which is always bad for the world.
