USA Today’s Faith & Reason blog and The Christian Post report that this Super Bowl ad reportedly rejected by Fox execs due to its religious content ran during yesterday’s game after all — at least, it did in Washington, DC.

GetReligion also has a post up about Super Bowl commercials, including a roundup of links to stories about the (not?) rejected John 3:16 ad..

I didn’t catch it, but then again, I didn’t catch Christina Aguilera’s “Star Spangled Banner” fumble, either. (That’s what I get for singing along to the national anthem!) But maybe it didn’t run in the Seattle market?

Updated to add: No word yet on whether Pittsburgh Bishop David A. Zubik of Pittsburgh has paid up to Green Bay Bishop David L. Ricken, with a personal donation to Catholic Charities Green Bay.
