Since this Fun Friday also falls on April Fool’s Day, here’s a little something for everyone:
Jews: From the JTA Archive: April Fool’s Day lessons for Jewish Pranksters
Catholics, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Jains, Quakers, Shakers: Stephen Colbert Talks Religion With Stephen Prothero
Catholics: Pope Benedict, Manga Hero
Evangelicals, Black Christians: Best. Sermon. Ever? Check out the “F”-Word Pastor! (It’s probably not what you think.)
And, as a bonus, here’s an unintentionally entertaining story from Catholic News Agency about how Guatemala’s anti-nepotism law has prompted the president and his wife to get a divorce, so that she can run for office. A spokeswoman for Guatemala’s Federation for the Defense of Life and Family says the couple is making “a mockery of the institution” of marriage. (Something tells me that most Christians will “F” them — see link above – if this is basically a legal technicality.)

Colbert’s comparing a Quaker meeting to riding a city bus was a riot.

Colbert is a riot. He was telling a story about one of his children, the phone rang and he answered while the child stood listening to him, then he or she said, “I get it! you were just being…..? and Colbert said, “that’s right”! Sounds like another Colbert growing up.
