Passover begins tonight, and Jews are vigorously debating — what else is new? — the proper way to observe this major holiday, with controversies ranging from the dietary (whether gin, ciabatta and quinoa are kosher-for-Passover) to the literal (how to make the Haggadah reading personally relevant without sacrificing too much of the ritual text).

Not much to do with Passover but a lot to do with our disastrous Middle East policy:
the widespread belief Israel is endangered is wrong, wrong, wrong.

Nnmns, you do realize that this column, including all the links, has to do with the holiday of Passover and nothing to do with Israel in general or even how the holiday is celebrated in Israel.
But then, having read many of your posts over the years, I have come to the realization that you never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity……to bash Israel.

“Obama cites Middle East struggles, peace in Passover message” – look up; it’s there.
And you’re right that I try to not miss an opportunity to point out to Americans how Israel profits and we suffer from our parasitic relationship. But I’d much rather Israel would stop acting wretchedly so I could stop doing this. Or even that the majority of Americans would wake up and we’d set our Middle East policy right.
