If I weren’t a clutter magnet in an information-hoarding crisis at the moment, I’d be able to find my print-out of a Beyond Blue reader's comment who wanted to know how to go about finding a spiritual therapist.
More on this next week. But here’s a great first step: use Beliefnet’s Find a Therapist tool which can guide you to a therapist, couples counselor, or spiritual advisor in your area who shares your beliefs and can really listen.

I tried the tool out of curiosity, and was interested to see the list of therapists that popped-up.
This tool might be a good place to start, however checking out local support groups and talking to people there is also a great help.
Talk to everyone and anyone that has an opinion about the different therapists in your area. A real eye opener. Try to find people that you know have had problems, but seem to be doing well in their life.
Also, if you are seeing a psychiatrist and are taking meds, be sure your therapist and psychiatrist have a good working relationship.
